What Graduates Have Said Regarding Their Experience at College of Automotive Management

The College makes no claims regarding starting salaries, graduate incomes or job availabilities for any position.  Many College graduates and employers have provided the College with their own statements about their experiences in the industries we represent after graduating from the College. Many of these positions were obtained with the help of our Career Development Department and employer contacts within the industries we represent. “This is not an implied or expressed claim of what all of our graduates earn. Individual results may vary and be higher or lower than these figures”.  The terms "current occupation" and "current income" as used below apply to the date each testimonial was provided by the graduate to the College and may or may not be their current occupation or income level at this time.  Also, the College assumes that in many cases the graduate is providing general figures or income levels rounded off for discussion purposes and the income levels reported, before or after College training, should not be interpreted as EXACT amounts earned monthly since many of the positions listed below, before or after CAM training, are commission based and total incomes could vary from month to month.

Graduation:  July 2008

I have been in the mortgage industry for over 26 years.  I was laid off in November of ’07.  I needed to make a career change later in life.  I have had an affinity for cars since I was a child, so that combined with my finance background, this became a logical choice.
Nancy, my career consultant, was persistent and helpful.  She stayed with me during my soul searching to make this investment decision.
I did have help with my financing; Sallie Mae granted my request.
The staff, at the College, has been excellent and made me feel like one of the family.  They’re willing to help as well as listen to me.
The curriculum can’t get any more intense and in depth!  Seven days a week with the studying; much less the five 8 hour days in class. It’s the most intense and comprehensive education I have ever received.
The instructors encouraged us to master 100% of the material by pleasant brow beating and smiling stress.  Really, Roy was great and did get the importance across on what we’re to know in order to present ourselves in the best possible light; especially as “green peas”.
I never thought I could sell anything regardless of what and how much I know about cars.  Now I want my own Internet Sales department or special finance department.  I look forward to putting my training into the business world.
The careers I feel confident in obtaining and succeeding in are internet sales and special finance.  These sections came easiest for me.  So I decided to “go with the logic.”
I do intend to follow the career path recommended to me as they’re the experts and it’s what I paid for.  I need to trust the knowledge and experience they are sharing.
I would recommend this program to my friends as it’s great, intense training for a good career.

I was a customer relations manager for 3 years, then worked in car sales for a few months.  When I was selling cars I wasn’t feeling that it was a great fit for me and I eventually left the auto industry.  More recently I worked for autotrader.com then the following year sold subprime finance plans.  It was at this time I realized that a position in F&I would be an ideal fit for me.
I chose my career path on my own and came to the College.  Through conversations with my career consultant I was able to dig deeper into my goals and objectives and reaffirm my direction to F&I.
I received funding for my education through the state of California through the WIA program.
Everyone, including the receptionist, other career consultants, and the instructors were all great, enthusiastic, positive and helpful.  It is clear they all have a desire to help the students succeed and reach their goals.
The training here at the College is much more involved and goes deeper on many subjects than any of the sales training programs I have attended in recent years.
There is great depth to the information presented each week, however there is some information that I feel should be included in this program.  Leasing is something that the finance manager must also have a good understanding of, but it isn’t really covered in this three week F&I training program.  Many successful sales people could even benefit from better understanding of leases and leasing.
If we missed anything on the test or were not clear, we were encouraged by our instructors to revisit the information and be able to answer correctly.  This is how they encouraged us to master and learn 100% of the material.
I was confident that the position would be a great fit for me and this course has reinforced that.  I knew there would be a lot to learn and at the beginning I was taken back by how much I had to remember in such a short time.  Our first week I was worried I would not be prepared.  Now it has all come together and I am daily gaining more confidence in my ability to do the position well.
The position I feel most confident in obtaining is F&I, at least after a bit more training I am confident in succeeding in this position.
I am not sure about the sales recommendation from some.  It has been recommended to me that sales is the place to start, however I have done auto sales and don’t believe it is the best place for me or the path that would lead me to success.  It would depend on whether a dealership would be willing to pay a salary and give me a great sales training program on whether I would be willing to consider a sales position.
All of the instructors were very knowledgeable in the industry and material.  I especially appreciate the teaching style of Dean and his ethics and attitude towards his teaching.  I am disappointed that I was only able to have a week with him.

My Career Consultant, Laura, has been amazing and helpful since the first day that I sat at her desk.  She is honest and supportive and guided me through to my decision to go tot eh College.  She let me know the realities of the industry and the best pathway that she recommended that I take to get to my ultimate goal of F&I manager.  She also let me know that I could not be afraid to follow my gut and apply to F&I directly.
I did have help with financing my education.  I had a great experience with Laura and Becky.  They helped me understand the options I had in terms of financing.  I received funding from Sallie Mae and have been happy with that experience.
I had great personal interactions with everyone that I have come into contact with that is associated with the process.  Overall, everyone is very open and friendly.  I felt comfortable and never felt out of place or out of my element at any step in the process, even with my lack of direct dealership experience.
After 2 weeks with Dean, one of my instructors, I had a very strong feeling of confidence that even though my desire was not to go into sales, that I could and would do well.  He helped me to see and understand how to use my strengths and my natural ability to put people at ease tied with the sales procedures I would do well.  Going into week four, I realized that I was not as prepared as week three’s foundation I felt was lacking.  The curriculum itself would have built further confidence, however we did not have time to complete nearly as much as we needed in order for me to be comfortable with moving on to week four.  Week four was definitely a good week once I caught up.  The special finance curriculum was very thorough and well taught by Larry.  I could easily find a career in special finance very fulfilling.
Dean Miller was by far the best instructor that I had in the 5 weeks.  I had to come to terms with the fact that I felt somewhat cheated by the fact that I couldn’t have him for the 5 weeks (unexpectedly).  He is extremely thorough and knowledgeable about all of the material he presents.  His encouragement and just the sense of him “being on my team” was what prompted me to master all of the material.
My confidence level has had a lot of very high points (weeks one and two) and some very low points (start of week 4). Overall, I feel that the training has given me the confidence to go to any dealership and do a phenomenal job for them in any capacity.  Because the course is so well broken down and divided, I can always take additional time once I graduate to delve even further and thus increase my confidence level even that much more.
I feel very confident and open to and know how without a shadow of a doubt that I would succeed at F&I management, internet sales, and special financing.  I know that I bring the people skills and now the knowledge and understanding to do any of these careers well above even the above average person in the same positions.  I would find positive challenge and excitement in any and all of them.
I plan to follow the path recommend by my career consultant, but I also intend to think outside the box on what I can use this training to help me to get into.  I want to explore all of the avenues available to me, again from F&I management to internet sales to special finance.  I also intend to explore the lending side, as well as other related industries.  This education opens a lot of doors.
I would recommend this program to friends; at this time, I don’t have anyone who would be interested, but if anyone was to ask me or come to me for my recommendation, I would definitely tell them it is truly worth the investment in herself or himself.
Dean and Laura, I want to personally acknowledge and thank for all of their unending encouragement and support.  Sorry for all the phone calls Laura, but thanks for always being there to answer my questions.

My Career Consultant helped guide me through the different departments within a dealership, which illuminated a clear picture of which career path I want to take.
I had assistance with finance but my experience with finance was wonderful.  Becky was helpful throughout the whole process and I hope she is recognized for being such a caring and outstanding individual.
My overall impression of the other staff was absolutely positive.  Everybody has been helpful and friendly.
I believe the curriculum is well thought out.  From my personal perspective all the information comes from a strong focal point that encourages us to love people and I strongly believe that loving people and utilizing the skills learned from CAM will lead to success.
The instructors were very encouraging.  This created an open learning environment which allowed me benefit from their knowledge and expertise.
My confidence level was at a 6 before starting training.  Towards the end of training I could see a confidence level of 10 well within reach.
The careers I feel confident in obtaining and succeeding in is within finance, sales, or internet sales.  I believe the skills I’ve learned at CAM have provided me with a clear understanding of what is expected of these roles.  With my knowledge and understanding of the curriculum, success weighs most heavily on the belief in oneself.
It is not my intention to follow the career path recommended to me by my career consultant because they suggested I start in the sales department before going into finance but I believe that I am ready to start in finance and will be a valuable asset to any dealership.
I would refer my friends because of a combination of getting a lot of great information and meeting great people who want to see you succeed.
I personally love the program and I am very thankful for everyone who took time out of their lives to cultivate this institution.  I believe that future generations will benefit from all of this information and I appreciate being able to experience this course and acquiring the wisdom blessed within this learning environment.

Graduation:  June 2008

My career consultant answered all my questions and addressed any concerns I had.
I did have help with financing.  I obtained a student loan with Sallie Mae.  My experience with financing is that it was convenient to obtain.  The College staff was professional and courteous.
I feel the breadth and depth of the course was sufficient but then again I won’t really know until I get out into the real world and experience working in the dealership.  I definitely do think that the curriculum will cut down the new career learning curve and I will take less time to make the career change.
The instructor was critical of our presentations and also made sure we understood the material that was being presented.
Before the training I had no prior knowledge of a dealership and how they are managed but after completing the F&I management training I am confident I can step into a dealership and become an asset for the dealership.
The career I feel confident in obtaining is F&I.  I feel I can become a successful F&I Manager with experience and eventually an F&I Director.  I understand how deals are structured for the most part and will strive to structure deals accordingly.
It is my intention to follow the career path recommended to me by my career consultant; I’ve always wanted to be in finance since I enjoy working with figures and I feel a career as an F&I Manager working at a dealership will allow me to realize career success while also making a good income.
I would recommend the program to friends as I feel the training gives a person the tools and foundation to be successful.

My career consultant was extremely helpful and I felt very comfortable with her throughout the process.  I did have help with financing my education; however I never really spoke with a finance person.  Laura, my career consultant, handled the emails on what they needed and informed me about the process.
You have the best receptionist.  She is extremely helpful when you first come in for your interview and extremely pleasant on a day to day basis.
It’s tough for me to talk about the breadth and depth of the curriculum as this is a new industry for me so I can’t say if everything I need to know was covered.  Maybe you should call me in a couple of months and I’ll let you know.  As for the instruction, you have some great teachers.
We already knew he expected us to master and learn 100% of the material, so my instructor rarely had to mention anything due to the strength of our class.
I felt like I would do well in this industry prior to the school however now I feel much more prepared knowing what’s expected of me certainly makes me a stronger candidate.
The career I feel confident in obtaining is an F&I manager because I just spent 5 weeks learning the curriculum prescribed for my success!  I came in with the sole purpose of F&I management. So I am going to pursue that path.
I would recommend the 5 week program to friends.  The combination of sales, internet sales, and finance curriculum makes my education well worth it!

I knew I wanted to do the managing part of the automotive industry, but I didn’t want to start out at the bottom.
I did have assistance with financing, it was simple.  The staff at the College is friendly and professional.
I’ve done retail management training before.  It was mostly about how to communicate, organize, and use problem solving techniques.  CAM is mostly scripts and a general exposure to the automotive industry.
Lex did what he could to help us learn the material.  There are a few of the sections I feel are too short.  For example, the laws and regulations, and the payment calculation should be longer and more in depth.
Before the training, my confidence level was 0 for F&I.  Now, it’s probably 6-7 for F&I.
It was my desire to go into F&I in the beginning.  CAM’s three weeks of F&I training helped me understand the forms, contracts, calculations, etc. that I needed to be an F&I manager.  Now is the hard part; finding an F&I opening with a good dealership.
I haven’t spoke to anyone regarding a career path.  My Career Consultant that signed me up talked with me about my interest in F&I.
I would possibly recommend this program to my friends, however it would also be nice to spend a couple of days on the AFIP certificate during the last week.

My career consultant helped me by telling me the possibilities that a good salesman has of moving up in the economy.
I did have assistance with financing my education, but it was a good experience.  I wish there was a way I could have attended the entire 5 week course but it all goes well in the real world.  I would like to return to complete the remaining 4 weeks.
Everyone at the college is very nice; great staff.
The curriculum was explained to me by the instructors so that everything was clear to me.  I trust what they say as their background says it all.  Since I have heard how successful they were using the same format they teach, I will learn the whole script and pray to God for the best in my career.
There is a big difference between my confidence level before and after the training.  My level of confidence is always high, but after the course it increased even more.  I can’t and don’t want to picture how bad I would have done without this material.
I feel confident that I can succeed as a top sales person.  I feel these skills and knowledge will get me to succeed and become a top salesman.
It is my intention to follow the career path recommended to me by my career consultant.  I will learn the foundation of the business.  Starting off as a top salesman, and receiving a promotion every time I can until I reach my goal of becoming a general manager.
I will recommend this to my friends because of the knowledge the teachers have; especially Lawrence.  Lawrence and Brett are awesome teachers.

Carla Taylor

Graduation:  June 2008

I felt my career consultant was in tune with my need and concerns regarding the program, and was able to point me in the right direction in reference to attaining my career goals.
My interaction with the other staff was fantastic and they really made me feel comfortable.  The instructors were very helpful in answering all my questions.  The receptionist and other support staff were very friendly and supportive.
Back in 1992, I worked for a Honda dealership for about 30 days.  When I compare this training to the brief training received at the dealership at that time the difference is overwhelming.  If I knew then what I know now, that would have been a more prosperous career experience for me.
The instruction I received from Lawrence was excellent; top notch. On a scale of 1 – 10, it was definitely a 15. Brett was good too, but came from a different perspective.  The curriculum was good.  I enjoyed the role playing the most and the small class size.  I just wish we had more time; especially in certain subject areas.
It was very challenging to commute 1 ½ hours each way, plus master and learn the material.  Although, it was extremely hard to retain a lot of information under these circumstances; it would be easier and more effective if the 1 week sales program was spread out over 2 weeks.  I’m not sure if we covered everything as in depth as I think it deserves.
My confidence level has increased three fold.  I feel with this training I should be even more successful than before.  Learning how to overcome common objections and how to control the customer in the sales process via the “script” is going to impact my performance.  I am nervous yet excited about embarking on this new career path.
I would like to obtain a career as a leasing consultant or internet sales consultant.  I feel my new skills, my transferable skills and knowledge, along with my personality would be most suited for these positions.  I like the customer tracking and aspect of the referral and residual sales with leasing and the leads that could be correctly worked with the internet position.
I definitely plan on following the career path my career consultant recommended to me.  I will be taking a proactive approach in retaining all the valuable information that has been given to me.
I would definitely recommend this program to any of my friends that have an interest in starting a career in this field, whether they were male or female.  In fact, they wouldn’t necessarily have to be my friends.  If I met someone that definitely could use the value of the training, I would tell them about the program.

Graduation:  June 2008

My Career Consultant provided options for me for Sales, Internet, and F&I.  In addition, she provided a rating sheet to compare this industry versus another such as insurance field and helped me figure out on my own based on my rating.  My financing with Sallie Mae went smoothly.  The staff is very supportive and professional in addition to challenging me in a positive way.
The training at CAM is more hands on and practical.  Lawrence, my instructor challenges me to use my thought process and brain functions differently and from different angles.
The course is very intense and has a wealth of information.  I love how we were given the opportunity to review for the test and go over and correct our mistakes so that we’re certain we have learned what we’ve missed out on.
I’ve always been a confident person, for the most part.  However, the lack of industry knowledge and fine tuned sales skills is why I chose to attend CAM.  I am now more confident and very excited to test the skills I have gained in the automotive industry.  It’s a great investment in me.
I feel that I can enter any entry-level sales and management position and move up quickly and successfully especially in the automotive, finance, insurance and real estate sales field because the training is so broad and dynamic, and covers both the front and back end of a business.
Initially I didn’t know which career path was right for me to take because all the positions seem so appealing.  After going through 2 weeks of training, I am steering towards Internet Sales to see how I enjoy it, then perhaps move to F&I so that I can move up to upper management.
I would highly recommend the College for training alone.  Lifetime Placement assistance and the one year unlimited retake option makes it even more valuable.
I love how professional and rewarding this whole process have been for me, especially the added touch of the diploma plaque to display proudly.

Ruth Elaine Peters

Graduation:  June 2008

Bruce, Harmon and Nancy have all assisted me by answering my many questions.  Their encouragement towards my success and building self-confidence has been enlightening and promising.  I am more hopeful towards my success as I increase my confidence in applying the tools and processes.
I did have assistance in financing my education.  I am especially grateful to my daughter for her support as my co-signer.  I am encouraged that my loan may be reimbursed by the dealership I’m assigned to.
My overall impression from my orientation experience, interview and getting to know the staff here at the College is overwhelmingly positive!  I left from the orientation and first interview on a high and felt good about this decision because of the friendliness, personal interest and expertise of each staff member.
I feel that what I am learning and with the “tools of the trade” i.e. Manuals, hand-outs, scripts, and software, relative to doing the business and the invitation to attend any class over that  I will have ultimate success as my inner confidents and assertiveness increase – the sky’s the limit.  Like I told my daughter, “my ship has come in” and it is not the titanic.  The material and the way it has been explained is real and practical.  I am grateful for the resources and tools including the invitation to call on instructors and staff to answer any of my questions and mentor me towards my success.
Though I am a slow learner, the goal to obtain 100% was manageable and possible.  I personally have always had a difficult time learning some verbatim, in the time frame we’ve been given.  However, I pledge to continue memorization of the script and anything else we’ve learned to improve my success in the business.
Before the course I anticipated the excitement of learning something new, even foreign, to me. After training, I know more than I did and will continue building my confidence level through continued study, review, and prayer.
I feel it would be best that I start out as a salesperson or even in internet sales.  I would like to learn as much about the industry and process through real-time experience before I feel I can move ahead.  I want to know that I am qualified to manage and internet department eventually and desire to take the last 3 classes to qualify myself as and F&I manager but first want more experience in the business.
It is my intention to follow the career path recommended by my career consultant as I feel, “nothing ventured, nothing gained”.  There’s another saying that for me, sums it all: “If you focus on what you’ve left behind, you’ll never know what you’ll find ahead”.  I’m on a quest to explore what success is in store in sales and ultimately in F&I for me.  My feet are on a path forward towards personal financial success with integrity!
I would recommend the program to friends and have already shared the program with a nephew and niece whom I feel would both be extremely successful in the business process and add value to any dealership.
Thank you for your encouragement and belief in my success!  I have to iron out those few wrinkles.  My goal now is to master the processes and maintain an honorable work ethic and add value to the dealerships that give me a chance to make “my” school proud of me!  I am so humbled to be a part of the College family.

Vincent M. Stacy Jr.

Graduation:  June 2008

Harmon, my career consultant has helped me a lot; so have Jen and Roy, but I still don’t know were I want to go as there are so many opportunities.
I had assistance with financing and it was quick and easy.
All the staff is extremely friendly and great to know.
There is so much to learn and absorb my head hurts, however it is definitely worth it because Roy, my instructor, helped put it in a real world perspective, especially since he was a general manager he lets us know what GM’s look for.
I feel confident in obtaining and being successful in the following careers: internet sales manager, internet salesperson, and retail sales person.  I know all the processes, the “lingo”, and all the tools.  Plus, now I can write a business plan for a whole internet department.
I intend to follow the career path recommended to me by my career consultant because it’s what I set out to do in the first place.
I would recommend this program to my friends because it’s a great program.  I had a great time learning here.

- Vincent Stacy Jr.

Dennis Basse

Graduation:  June 2008

My career consultant facilitated my initial desire to seek sales positions in automotive sales.  Milam was very clear and supportive and made the process easy to understand.  I did have assistance with financing.  There were lots of forms to complete, but the school facilitated the process and made it seamless.  If it had been handled by anyone other than Becky, the financial assistance coordinator, I’m sure it would not have been this easy.  Everyone there is professional and has a very personable demeanor.  They are models for other professionals and how associates should treat each other.
The curriculum is very fast paced for the value of material and honestly might have benefited from more focus in internet and business plan review.  Coming from outside this industry and not a solid computer user I could see more emphasis here personally.
Lex knows and has acknowledged that this material can appear overwhelming to someone who does not have experience in this industry but has expressed learning “wrote” what has proven to work and the results will follow after repeated study.
I never would have been able or had the confident to pursue a career in this field without the experience of the CAM course.  The material is laid out well and a precursory to my mastery of multiple areas.
I feel the most confident in the following careers: auto sales or internet professional sales or manufacturer’s representative for an established company.  I see my role as a professional different now that I see the role of a salesperson differently as a facilitator to the sales process while primarily and advocate for the client.  This reduces the stress on the sales call and the client feels more focused on as been “assisted” rather than being “sold” something they really might not want.
I intend to follow the career path recommended to me by my career consultant because I have always loved the industry from the outside and did not realize that there was a professional, honorable career path in the industry.  I will vigorously pursue positions that will utilize what I’ve begun and let me grow and excel.
I will recommend this to others because success sells itself.  Obviously the methods used and the content definitely leads to an advanced career and more job satisfaction.  Returning graduates and their accomplishments are impressive.
Don’t stop learning or trying!  It may not come natural, but with repetition and efforts, it can be a great tool (CAM) to open a lot of doors.

- Dennis Basse

Kelvin Davis

Graduation:  June 2008

I previously worked in the information technology field where personal contact with customers occurred on a daily basis.  Fact finding and asking the right questions allowed me to determine the client’s problems or needs.
I did have assistance with financing.  It was a little time consuming but overall, a smooth experience.  All interactions the staff were positive.
The curriculum really helps you to focus and not fall into the mindset and behavior of the traditional salesman.  The instruction was very detailed and always remained positive.  The relationships that you are encouraged to develop with the customer will create the something lasting with the customer.  Due to the scripts, I feel more confident helping customers determine their needs.  I feel confident in getting a lasting sales career.  I have always had a passion for helping people.  CAM presents the tools that I have always sought after, but was never aware of and showed me how to help identify the customer’s wants and needs.
I intend to follow the career path recommended to my by my career consultant because I want to help people and develop more relationships.
I would recommend this program to my friends because it can open them up to a new and exciting career.
Keep up the good work and excellent curriculum!

- Kelvin Davis

Clifford Prose

Graduation:  June 2008

Lex, my instructor has provided excellent instruction regarding how automotive dealerships are structured and operate. The “scripts” provided, coupled with my past sales experience have me confident I will be successful in Automotive sales.
I did have assistance with my financing.  Becky Martinez was very helpful and assisted me through several “rough spots” in my application and acceptance process.
Everyone I have encountered here at CAM has been extremely helpful and professional and it was a pleasure to interact with them!
Both the instruction and curriculum were of the highest standard.  I had excellent instruction which was coupled with extremely motivated student procedures, which produced excellent results!
Before CAM training I was very confident I would master the material, but I had a small anxiety about “fear of something new” because it was a career change.  After CAM instruction and “script” presentation, my confidence is extremely high and I can’t wait to get into sales at a dealership.
I feel my forte will be lot sales to begin with.  My 18 years of “outside” sales experience coupled with my CAM instruction makes me feel very confident I will be a valuable asset to any dealership.
I will follow the career path recommended to me by my career consultant because they realize my internet skills are not where I want them to be, YET!
I would recommend this course to my friends for all of the reasons mentioned above.

- Clifford Prose

Ryan Lam

Graduation: May 2008

My career consultant helped me get on the right track and in a career I have always wanted.  She was very quick, organized and got me through the work process swiftly.
My experience with finance was very simple. My consultant made financing easy to understand.  The College of Automotive staff is very professional, they all made a great first and last impression.
The curriculum and the training was very “real world” oriented.  I couldn’t have asked for anything more than hands on training. The instructor was very motivating and informative. That alone encouraged me to learn all the material.
My confidence level before training was very low. Now my confidence level is high and I don’t think it could get any higher. I believe every career I have trained for with Dynamic Sales Careers will be obtainable. In my opinion all careers learned seem to be enjoyable. I am more than ready to start my career due to the training my instructor has provided me.
It is my intention to follow the career path recommended; this is the type of career path I have always wanted.  I would recommend this program to my friends; I feel they would have a lot to benefit from, just as I have benefited from the program.

Iyana Geddins

Graduation:  June 2008

Nancy, my career consultant, is very friendly.  She sat down and explained in detail what the different job titles were, what the job duties required and as for a school curriculum, what would be covered for each.  Also, she informed me that it wouldn’t be easy!  I appreciated this information because I prepared myself for an intense course.
I had financial assistance, but I needed a co-borrower.  I’m very pleased that I did not have to find someone with perfect credit because I would not have been able to attend CAM.  This was the situation for other cases when I tried to attend other programs.
The rest of the College staff were extremely professional.  I love it!  Everyone treats each other with respect.  No one is on a “power trip” as I’ve seen in many of my previous work environments.  If you need help with anything, the staff is always available and willing to assist.
Bottom line, I don’t see how people can work in this industry without having the knowledge of the curriculum taught in these courses. I truly believe I would have failed if I decided not to take these courses and I would have done my customers a disservice. I feel all auto sales consultants should be required to have this training before even thinking about selling a car.
The instructor made sure every class member had an understanding before moving on to the next subject.  And he let us know it helps with job placement and ultimately your job performance to come.
Before training, I doubted myself several times a day about enrolling in CAM and even starting a new career in automobile sales.  I felt I was going to fail.  How quickly times change!  I can’t wait to graduate!  I am extremely confident that I can succeed.  I have the knowledge to do so!  CAM will always be here to help; especially when I want to move up into F&I management.  I’m coming back to learn from the best.  They were all very supportive and knowledgeable staff!  You can’t beat that!
Upon completion I will have learned all the tools I need to become successful in automotive sales.  CAM has provided me with that.  All I need to do is apply what I’ve learned, stay focused and committed to my job, and I will succeed.  There’s no doubt about that in my mind.
Of course I will follow the career path recommended to me by my career consultant.  I’ve never worked in automotive sales, so I don’t know anything about cars.  I would like to work 6 months tops as a sales consultant then I definitely want to shoot for F&I management.  I plan on working my way up!
I would definitely recommend this to others because the training is excellent and is always improving.   It has helped me increase my confidence level tremendously!

Irma Ruiz

Graduation:  June 2008

Harmon, my Career consultant, helped me determine the right career path by asking me what it was I wanted to go with and I got into the 2 week program because my credit score allowed me to.  I got a TFC loan so financing was very limited. The staff here at CAM are pleasant every day regardless of the time.  When I smile, they smile back and made me feel like they were happy to see me.
The curriculum was a good flow for me.  I had just finished my first semester toward Early Childhood education so I’m pretty used to covering a chapter a day for 3 hours a day.  My instructor helped me master the material by giving me examples of what to do and I would do my best to mirror what he did.
Before training my confidence was not so high.  My main reason for going through the course was to gain some knowledge into what I was supposed to be doing out in the field.  Now, my confidence is very high and I got more information than I bargained for.
I want to be an internet sales department director as I feel much more comfortable running my own team and doing it right, then being run and told to do what I was not trained to do.  I want to work my way up to F&I, so I plan on following the career path recommended to me by my career consultant.
I would recommend this program because it’s fun and very interactive.
I’m going to miss everyone here, but I’ll see them again in a few months when I become successful and want to come back for the rest of the training!

Warren Payne

Graduation:  June 2008

I have been in the automotive industry as a salesperson approximately 20 years and 17 years in a management position.  I felt the need for change and also to enhance and refresh my talents and experiences.  I no doubt needed it and am very glad I sought additional training.
My initial goal was to take a refreshment course in F&I and Sales Management, and I really couldn’t at the time afford to.  So after consulting with Sharon and Nancy we were able to secure a way to afford and challenge my skills in internet sales management and moved forward to attend the classes.
I have to rely on some outside assistance in order to secure financing.  Nancy is very good at what she does.
Everyone is very supportive.  My instructor, Roy, gave as much as he could in the time provided.  Stephanie was very professional and helpful from the start.
The difference between other training I’ve received and the training I received from the College was the whole time here was crunch time.  There was a lot of information given in a short amount of time.  The course cost a lot of money and they give you your money’s worth of information and knowledge.  Now I must reflect on the information every day and use the knowledge everyday in order to make it all worth while.
I feel the curriculum will all blend in at some point depending on where I go from here. Of course it depends on me, but the curriculum is intense but it’s also fulfilling with information.  The only way it will work for you is if you allow yourself to work it to the best of your ability and study it every chance you get.  At least this is what I need.
After the course began I felt, “Oh my! Has it been that long?  Can I retain it all and if I can will I get the chance to use it all?”  My confidence level has grown.  Now I need to grow.
I think the overall experience lets me know that success in this business is still here.  The only way it will work is if you apply it.  I’ve been in auto sales this long, now I need it to pay off for me big time.
I intend to give all I have to being successful in the Internet Management career, which is the career path recommended to my by my career consultant.  But I also would like to use all my skills in this profession to be all I can for as long as I can.
I would recommend this to my friends because if you are going to be a professional in this business the training is vital.  And if you can you should get the training as we all need it.
I would like to attend the other 3 weeks of training and will try all that I can to make it possible!

Ronald Nottage

Graduation: June 2008

Charles, my career consultant, informed me of the 2 week sales and internet class.  I felt I needed the 2 week course to fulfill my need to move forward with my career. Unfortunately, due to my financial situation, I can only attend 1 week of class.  The interaction with staff was pretty much all good.  Brett, my instructor is very good; he’s very professional while teaching class.  He is a great asset to your organization and the school!
The only difference between here and the training I received at a computer institute was that the institute was slower paced and I wasn’t rushed to learn everything in 5 days. I believe this same course I took in 5 days should be taken over 10 days and covered more slowly and have more material.  I think much was skipped over because there was just not enough time to study all aspects of this course.
The curriculum was good, for what we were able to discuss.    I feel to get all my money’s worth it should be taught slower with more time to cover all the material correctly.  At first I was not able to master 100% of the material.  But now with the structure Brett provided, I have no problem.
My confidence level is 75% of learned process and since I already have good to excellent conversation skills or people talking skills.  I will not have any problem doing this work as a salesperson.  I am a people person so my ability will be fine.  The course will provide me an entry level position in auto sales; my own experience from past employment will carry me into the future in this position.  I will excel myself on my own to succeed.
Sales will be fine for me but I think I will excel in internet sales because I have existing computer experience.  It is my intention to follow the career path recommended to me by my career consultant but would also like to excel in F&I in the future.
I would recommend this program to my friends if they are interested in a career selling cars or vehicles.

Donna Kosaka

Graduation:  June 2008

My Career Consultant, Nancy, was very good.  She and Stephanie, the receptionist, were always there for me.  The rest of the staff was good as well. The financing went very smooth.
Although I never attended college before, so I don’t have anything to compare the education with, the depth of the curriculum was so good; there was just too much information at one time.  I feel that maybe week 1 could be 2 weeks long.  The instructors were encouraging most of the time, although everyone has a bad day once in a while.
I was extremely confident when I first started the course the truth is the course really shook me up.  I couldn’t get the full understanding of the course and it was way too fast for me to keep up with all that material.
I feel confident in car sales, but I would like to get into the Internet Department.  My background of 15 years has been in insurance sales.  Internet Sales would be great but all that material to learn has taken a toll on me.
After spending the time (12 hours a day) and the expense of the course, I will give the career path my Career consultant recommended to me my all.

- Donna Kosaka

Dawn Matanane

Graduation:  June 2008

My Career Consultant, Donna, is wonderful!  She helped me the whole way through getting financed and was a pleasure to deal with.  Becky, the financial assistant coordinator, was a doll and very helpful!  Lisa, the receptionist, is awesome!  Trevor, my instructor, is very knowledgeable and helpful.
The curriculum is not deep enough!  I really don’t feel that the class was worth what I spent.  More sales could be involved.  Tricks to the trade.  Trevor was helpful but it feels like the curriculum was really stretched in order to fill 2 weeks time.  Scripts are GREAT!  I don’t think the internet training was sufficient.  I am not comfortable that I learned all there was to learn!  More in-depth on working a deal should have been in the book!
The scripts are wonderful!  Well thought out and seemingly sound proof!  Trevor really pushed us to learn them and expressed how effective these scripts will be.
I was always confident!  However, I am more comfortable with the lingo and really excited to know these scripts.
The career I chose was Sales and Internet Management because I belong in sales and believe in these scripts and myself!  I believe I am a people person and a very talented person.  I look forward to learning more and more and getting to the top.  I would like to be in finance or some sort of management someday (as soon as possible).  I love to lead people.
I would recommend this program to my friends because it is very informative and educating.  They can learn the lingo and scripts, which I believe will help anyone be successful in their new career.  I do believe!
Trevor is an awesome help!  I am really excited to start and kick my new career off the ground!

Ricardo Jimenez

Graduation: June 2008

I was at Nissan of San Bernardino as a Sales Consultant.  I was there for 8 months and I was seeking training to improve myself and become an internet manager.
My Career Consultant, Michelle, helped me by showing me that the sales floor is not the only place to make money!  As far as guidance, everything was put in to perspective and was clear.
I did have assistance with my financing of the education.  The assistance was broke down on what to do.  Although I wish I could have qualified for the five week course. My interaction with Management and all staff was very good.  Everyone was very professional.
The curriculum I didn’t feel was good enough. The class should be longer.  Trevor Simpson, my instructor, taught us more than anything.  The program, as far as the scripts or anything in the books was mild.  Trevor just increased the potentials of the programs.  Trevor motivated us to do 100% all the time.  He is like a sales veteran; young and strong.  I wish to have the same car experiences as he did.  I hope to follow in his footsteps.
My confidence level from before my training was low compared to now is very great.
I feel confident that I can do any career in sales and internet sales.  The training is strong, persistent and secure.
It is my intention to follow my career path.  The College of Automotive just gave me the guns for the fight.

- Ricardo Jimenez

Krystyna Dobrowolski

Graduation:  May 2008

My Career Consultant, Milam Byers, outlined the process, discussed my strengths and experience from my previous jobs that was applicable to this new career and encouraged me to “give it a thought”.  The more we talked, the more I felt right about it.
I provided my own financing, as IRA funds for education.
The staff is very supportive, helpful, and informed.  They have answers to all my questions.
A big plus was my very experienced instructor, who gradually built my confidence that I can do it.  In short time we were introduced to many, many aspects of the selling/structuring process. I know what to expect, how to behave, what’s legal and ethical, and how to provide a helpful assistance to the needs of my customers. The rest is practice, practice, and continued education.
The instructors encouraged us to master the material by patiently pointing to my mistakes and showing the ways to avoid them, and by guiding me through this enormous amount of material with patience and humor.  The lectures were never boring!
Before, I new nothing about all these financial dealings involved in the auto industry.  Now I understand the process, where my place and my responsibilities are, and I know with time and practice I definitely can do it.
I feel confident in obtaining and succeeding as a finance manager because I understand and know the process.
Because this is my career change after a long career as a software engineer and consulting I don’t have much time left for the outlined path my Career Consultant outlined for me.  It would take at least 15 years to achieve.  All I want to do is succeed in financial field, as either a manager or director, and be the best I can be.
I would recommend this program to friends because it opens new opportunities.  The program gives a really broad picture of selling, financing, leasing, loan underwriting, etc. which can be applied in other fields.
I’m glad that I had the opportunity to look at this option.  I was contacted by the DSC recruiter after posting my resume on monster.  I would never consider this step on my own without “in-side” information.  Thanks for the “push” in this direction.

Carla Wiles

Graduation:  May 2008

When I first came to CAM I knew this was something I wanted to do.  I was recommended from alumni.  But I just wanted to get information to start out.  Nancy just signed me up and has supported me since then.  On days when I thought I just wanted to quit, all I had to do is see her face in the morning and I knew I could finish.
I did have assistance with my financing.  I had to fax the credit application in, then Nancy and Stephanie took care of everything else.  How nice is that?!
I’ve had the pleasure of interacting with most of the staff.  The CAM staff has made me feel welcome and was supportive.  I truly feel I have made life long friendships.  They all made me feel like family.
I have learned so much information in the last 5 weeks.  I can’t believe I have learned a new career in 5 weeks and I feel like I really know the curriculum.
Instructors and staff encouraged me and my classmates through the first 2 weeks and the last 3 weeks.  At times I though I couldn’t finish, but I couldn’t let everyone down.
Before coming to the college I knew this was something I wanted to do.  Now I feel like this is something I have to do.  I have no doubt I can go to any dealership and get a job and show them what CAM students are all about.   I feel like I have the confidence to go out there and sell a car with no problem.  It’s something I will be good at and believe in.
This is a great college.  I have learned so much.  I think most people out there would benefit from it.  I would like to thank the staff at CAM for making this a memorable experience and helping me take my first steps to my new future.

Kenneth Prunetti

Graduation:  May 2008

The last job I was at I was there for 17 years and I decided I wanted to move up in the world.  Nancy, my career consultant provided information that made it easy to determine which program was best for me.  She followed through on everything she should have and checked on me when I was sick several times.    The financial process was handled professionally and Nancy made me, and my co-signer feel very much at ease during the process.
Everyone I interacted with, from the receptionist to the big boss, has acted very professional.  Roy and Dave, my instructors were both terrific.
The depth of the curriculum was extensive.  Although I did not received the understanding of leasing that I thought should be important in the area of financing.  I was encouraged to learn and complete all of the material to give myself the information required to advance myself in the direction of completing my goals.
My confidence level has always been high as I’ve always been at the top of my field.  Since coming to training here, I have received what I felt I needed. I feel I have the confidence and knowledge to get a finance job immediately after I’m done here.  I suspect I will get a job on my first interview if I want to accept it.  I am confident by nature and now after learning what I have in this school, I will have the information and knowledge I need to move on.  I think it would be tough to get a finance job without getting the training and information taught here at school.  If any friends or associates are considering a career in this field, I will most certainly recommend this place.
Roy, Nancy, and Jennifer are awesome professionals!  Roy’s enthusiasm has been inspirational!

Tania Trujillo

Graduation:  May 2008

My career consultant, Michelle, was great.  I knew F&I was for me right off the bat and she explained the importance of also selling cars for my future advancement.  She also encouraged me to start right away so that I could get out there and begin my career.
Becky, the financial assistant, was great and very patient, and considering I called 3 times a day to get status on my Sallie Mae loan, I’m sure I will not be forgotten so easily.  My loan took 3 weeks to fund, but it wasn’t anyone’s fault it took so long and Becky was great being there to take my calls when I was panicking.
All the staff was very friendly and pleasant.  My instructor is the only one I have interacted with since we are in Carlsbad.
Wow!  I had no idea there was so much to learn.  I am shocked to think how many people are just clueless and don’t know everything I’ve learned in 5 weeks.  I know that I have learned a lot and feel very confident in taking on this new position.
We did a lot of role playing in class and I think that was very important in helping us learn.  Our instructor, Dean, reminded us every day constant practice will help us master and know our statements 100%.  I believe what we learned in class got us 95% there on tests and just some practice at home have us the other 5% to get us the 100%.
I feel very prepared and ready to enter this industry.  I knew I wasn’t ready before this. With everything I have learned in this 5 week course I know I have the understanding of every position at a dealership.  It is my intention to follow the career path recommended by my career consultant because if I want to go to the top “General Manager” I must have sales experience.  I want to know that I have the opportunity to do any and everything if I want to.
I would recommend this program because I think everyone wants to do a good job, know how to conduct their position correctly and ethically and I believe this school does that for the car industry.

- Tania Trujillo

Joseph Noriega

Graduation:  May 2008

My career consultant suggested I take the first 2 weeks, work in sales for six months, then come back to take the remaining 3 weeks to further my career in the automotive field.  Financing was cool; I had a co-signer.
Everyone I’ve talked to or met was great. They all had cool attitudes. The curriculum is good.  I have learned a lot.  Larry Eller is a good teacher.  He doesn’t sugar coat things, he keeps things real and is helpful and patient. If there was something I did not understand, he would put it in my different words.
Before I came to class I was nervous and wasn’t sure about the automotive field.  Now I am confident I will succeed and make good money doing it.  I hope to become a manager some day or even teach some people in the future.
I would recommend this program because it is a good opportunity.

- Joseph Noriega

Amir Ghassemi

Graduation:  May 2008

The curriculum is full and covers all material.  It was complete and assisted me to understand the whole process of sale.  The instructor was knowledgeable and with professional manner and also I like his effort for motivating the clan and covering all the material.
Before I didn’t have any idea about the dealerships, but now after 5 weeks, I feel I know a lot and can cover everything there is to it.  The books and instructor was very knowledgeable and helpful with the material and this assists me to feel confident in learning the material and understand the process.
I think this program is useful, not only in the car business, but in all businesses which is related to sales.  I think all the team here are motivated and they should keep it this way.

- Amir Ghassemi

Oseas Verduzco

Graduation:  May 2008

The material was clearly focused, organized, well presented and 100% applicable.  I find that as each day’s material was presented, I could clearly see how I would apply the information to my job roles.
I feel that the material presented was well prepared and meticulously developed to ensure that it was easy to comprehend and apply.  The clear and simple approach to areas covered by instruction helped me understand with my questions answered.  It is very complete material and well presented instruction helped me immensely.  The instructor brought a “strong” and clear knowledge base into the classroom.  His experience and use of examples assisted me in putting the material into perspective.  There will never be an easy way to get students to understand new concepts.  My instructor took the time to identify which concepts were most difficult to master, and focused time to ensure that each student was comfortable with material.   A big plus was the fact that the material was clear and well documented; this helped immensely during review and studying.
My knowledge in this industry was very limited and I may have had a difficult time being successful at a new job. I truly believe I will be one of the most successful people in this field because of the knowledge I gained in this program.  My confidence in my success has tripled in the past few weeks and I look forward to being a strong asset to any organization.
I have the knowledge and ability to fulfill any of the roles quite well; in addition, with practice and time, I’ll fine tune my abilities into a successful career.  I’ve got enough personality and character to work well with people and develop a strong career within this industry.
I feel that whoever attends these programs and truly applies themselves will have so many opportunities available to them.  It takes a mindset to be successful.  I’ve shared my knowledge of this program with those persons I know would benefit most from this program.
My instructors’ knowledge and experience and talent brought into the classroom are truly unequaled and deserve a very real sense of recognition.  His impact on student success is the strongest and most vivid use of marketing for the school.  His students are a testament to the quality of education available here and the recommendations and leads provided by his students certainly exceed any numbers provided by other marketing

- Oseas Verduzco

Jennifer Rose

Graduation:  May 2008

The curriculum is very in depth and you learn a great deal about the business. Excellent reference material if you ever need to go back and refer to anything.  The material is good, but listening to Lex, my instructor, talk about his experiences and learning the knowledge of his has been priceless.
Being in the mortgage escrow industry as long as I have been, my confidence was pretty good coming into the school and now is even better now that I know all the DMV rules and paperwork.  I have no hesitation in entering the work force.
Due to the intense training required here and due to Lex’s personal knowledge and experience he has shared with us, I feel I can do anything in the auto industry now.  Lex is an amazing teacher, one of the best I have had.
I would recommend this program to my friends because I feel someone who knows nothing about the industry would walk away understanding it almost 100% due to the material and instruction

- Jennifer Rose

John Cleapor

Graduation:  May 2008

Before the class, I have been a salesman and internet manager.  I was a salesman off and on for 2 years and an internet manager for 7 months.  The difference between previous training and the training from the College, is the College is more in-depth and provides tools you can use and continue to master once you enter a dealership.  The curriculum has been a very intense and deep course with clear instruction.  The program itself would have probably been too much to take in such a short time had it not been for my instructor, Lex.
My confidence level has improved compared to when I first started thinking perhaps I was in over my head.  With the instruction and encouragement I feel I can take a position and do the job.
I think I can be a success in the F&I department.  Both the course and instructor are responsible for the knowledge that has been given me and my ability to use it.  It has been outstanding. The knowledge and training provided aren’t available at any dealership I have ever heard of.  By taking the courses here you can learn in a matter of weeks the skills it takes walk-in first timers months or years to pick up.
I am extremely thankful to have had the opportunity to learn from Lex the amount of practical knowledge that has uses in every aspect of the car business.  This will serve me for years to come and the support from Khai, my career consultant, has been great as well.

- John Cleapor

Wendy Medrano

Graduation:  May 2008

My Career Consultant, Gabriela, was very helpful and friendly.  She made my first experience very comfortable and relatable.  I liked that she asked me a lot of questions that made me feel like she was trying to get to know me very well.  She also made me feel like I was making the right decision.  She was a big part of why I signed up for the college.  A million thanks to Gabby! Smile
I was offered the 2 week course because that’s all my credit would allow.  But because of my current work schedule, I was okay with that.
I didn’t see many other employees for the college other than Brett and Trevor, my instructors, but the ones I did see were very courteous.  Both Trevor and Brett were an extreme pleasure to work with.  Even though we were a small class, I never felt left out or confused on anything.  They both were very helpful and professional.  They made me feel comfortable my whole experience.  Thank you!
I come from retail experience, so I definitely adapted well to the customer service part.  But I was also pleasantly surprised the internet part was so interactive since I personally learn better through being proactive.  I can honestly say that I feel confident into pursuing this new career with all the skills I have learned from my 2 week course.
I think my transaction into a classroom setting (which I haven’t been in a while) was definitely eased by Trevor and Brett.  Since the first day, I admit I was never made to feel dumb or left out or left behind.  Most teachers, in other schools, just teach and if you don’t catch on, oh well!  But Brett especially was very thorough with all the material and very encouraging.  His patience and professional manner definitely reflect on how I learned and how easy it was to adjust so much information into such a short time.
Before training, I guess I could have been okay with working at a dealership, but probably would not have stayed for very long.  But now, I can definitely go in and be more confident in knowing that I’m not walking into a dealer with no knowledge about anything.  I am excited and optimistic about starting a new career.  I look forward to doing Internet Sales, maybe doing financial work.  I find comfort in helping people and interacting.  Although I enjoy office work I want some job or career that I can have long term and enjoy.  Car sales just seems like the right step for me.  I’m excited to learn and gain experience.
When I first started, I thought the script was extremely cheesy.  Sorry, that just how I felt. But now that I’m about to get out there, I can honestly say that I appreciate why the script I there!  I have learned that it is effective in learning and easing the car business. I will give all the credit and respect that the script deserves!  And hate to admit that Trevor was right when he warned me that I would appreciate the script.  Smile
I would highly recommend this program!!!  I have learned a lot and gained confidence in obtaining a sales career.  And would highly recommend that other people struggling with other obstacles in sales try this college.

- Wendy Medrano

Quyen Le

Graduation:  May 2008

My Career Consultant, Charlie, expanded how the automotive business is doing and expressed his own experience about the business.  Financing was helpful.  The staff are very helpful and friendly.  They made me feel comfortable and I enjoyed being there while I was in school.
My instructor, Lawrence, is very smart.  He taught me a lot on how to communicate with a customer.  He also expressed his own experience about the business.  He encouraged me so that I would fully understand the material.  When I master the learning it will help me in the real world and the dealership.
I wasn’t too confident before I took the class.  But now, after being in class for the past two weeks I’m very confident about myself and how I will perform in the dealership.
I have learned a lot in the class. The instructor also helped me master my script.  I feel confident about selling a car to a customer.
The class makes me very interested in the automotive business.  Especially, past experienced salesmen and how much they made over the years.
I would recommend this to others because I feel confident of what I will become in the automotive business and that it all counts.

- Quyen Le

Linda Brown

Graduation:  May 2008

My Career Consultant provided me with all the information I needed to know about the business, how long it would take, and helped me to make the decision with her past experience.  It was obvious the instructors knew what they were talking about and have much knowledge and did a good job helping everyone individually if it was needed.  The staff as well as the receptionist was super nice and definitely supportive.
I agree with CAM when they state car sales is a good business to be in because everyone needs a car.  I feel the maneuvers I learned to sell a car will be very effective and bring me much success with the help of the internet.  I think the script is the best and key to selling a vehicle.  All the work helped me understand more about sales and cars.  Memorizing the script definitely helped master it with the help of the instructors.  They were encouraging because they state what we needed to work on without criticizing and the role play was helpful practicing it everyday several times encouraged me to master this material.
Before this training I wasn’t 100% sure if I could sell a care right away even with the little confidence I had because I had no knowledge whatsoever.  After only one week I was eager to go out and sell as many cars.  I am mow more confident and competitive than ever. I feel with my memorized script in mind I can sell many cars. I would like to further my position in the Sales Dept. to manager someday.  I think I am enthusiastic, confident and friendly which I will bring success to whatever dealership I work at. I will follow this career path because it is the easiest way and the smartest way to make money.  I want to be successful in life and hopefully be an inspiration to others who are just starting.
I would recommend this program to friends because I know they will be happy to realize how easy and successful the car business will be. The program is definitely worth what I am paying for and I’m lucky to have had this opportunity for success.

- Linda Brown

Jeanette Alcon

Graduation:  May 2008

Armando, my Career Consultant, explained his past experience in the automotive industry and certain mistakes he made.  In other words, he advised me on certain things I should or shouldn’t do to become a great sales/internet person based on his past experience.
The receptionists are helpful and very professional.  Overall, the staff here was great; they always answer questions thoroughly.
The information I received is valuable.  The instructor is passionate about the automotive industry.  Each day with the information he provided I grew more passionate and excited towards working at a dealership.  Lawrence, the instructor, went over the answers and explained in detail why that is the correct answer. He has many years of experience in this industry.  He knows exactly the job duties of specific departments and has worked in those departments; therefore, I will definitely follow his recommendation.
Today I am very confident.  The positive and negative feedback I have received allowed me to work on areas I need to improve to become a super star salesperson.
I would recommend this to others.  The staff is great, and the information the instructor provided is valuable and is backed up with credible resources.

- Jeanette Alcon

Ammie Rigonan

Graduation:  May 2008

My Career Consultant told me that doing a sales job is similar to caring for people.  That if I knew how to care for others I will do good as a salesperson even if I have no sales experience.  The staff is nice and they are all willing to help.  They wish the best for their students.
The curriculum is very intense.  There is so much to learn and master, two weeks is not even enough.  I believe this information was gathered through intense research and work and it should be used in order to succeed.  The instructors are very dedicated and serious.
In terms of training and education I am confident I can handle the job.  But there is this culture barrier that I have to overcome with considering that I am barely a year in the USA and this will be my first real job.
I want to work in Internet Sales or as a Sales person because this is what I was trained for.  I would recommend this to my friends because it is interesting and can be rewarding.

- Ammie Rigonan

Hassan Robinson

Graduation:  May 2008

I have past management experience; I was assistant store manager for 5 ½ years and before that I was a store manager for Kraagen Automotive for 5 years.  The reason why I am seeking training was to develop the skills I need to be a successful sales person in the automotive industry.
My Career Consultant helped me by given me all the information I need to make a decision.  He explained about the college and how it works.  How we get paid and how we can get reimbursed for tuition. Financing my education was a great experience; I had no problems. The staff made me feel like I was a part of their family.
One way the training was different was we were able to work with some of the tools we will be using and the other way it is different we were shown how to apply the things we were taught is what we will be doing at the dealership.
The material and the instructors were great.  When I get placed and start my new career, I will be able to refer back to refresh my memory.  The instructor, David was great.  He taught the material completely before he moved to the next section.  He wanted to make sure we completely understood the material which was so valuable in learning all the material in a short period of time.
My confidence before training was a little new because I didn’t know what to expect but now after completing the training I know I would be a good sales person because of the tools that CAM College provided to me and trained me on.
I would recommend the program because they would get the tools to be successful in their career path.

I have zero experience in this industry so I thought it would be useful to do the sales/internet training.  The Sallie Mae loan was easy to get because of my good credit and my consultant told me all the details about the loan, which I liked, even upon reading the fine print, my consultant was honest. The rest of the staff was very friendly; each staff member greeted me and made me feel comfortable.
I went to a four year business college, and did not receive the hands on training and knowledge in sales and internet the College of Automotive Management has given me.  I thought I knew everything about sales, boy I was wrong.  The instruction is very thorough and interactive, which I liked.
At first, I was a little discouraged because of all the material, but I listened to the CD’s and I was motivated to give 100% into this program.  However, I have a hard time staying in one place for 8 hours, so I would prefer more role playing and group projects. When I first came to the school I was shaky on how to sell.  But the College teaches proven techniques that will show you how to make a sale.  I really found the CD’s and workbook very helpful.  I wanted a career that was beyond the 8-5 flat hourly rate.  I wanted to earn and work more than an hourly rate.  I like to start my own business someday and I feel the sales portion training is exceptional.
There is a lot of potential to make a lot of money in sales.  I’m also a pretty honest and friendly person so that should help when I find a job.
My friend wants to be a sales manager for a dealership, I can’t stress enough that the training at CAM is exceptional.  I went to a four year business college and thoroughly read books on marketing, sales, and customer service, and was still shocked on what I didn’t know.  The sales training will help anyone pursuing a career in sales or business.

I have had 3 months previous sales experience at Stevens Creek Mitsubishi in Santa Clara, which is why I am seeking additional training in closing, internet and finance.  I’m working on getting to take the full 5 weeks, I hope I can, but not sure yet.
My career consultant was very nice and pleasant.  He tried to help me with the loan and steer me in the right direction.  This is a new learning experience for me, but I’m ready to gain more knowledge to be successful in my new career plan and goals.
Finance is a learning and educational experience that takes patience.  My interaction with the other support is very professional and pleasant.  The staff at CAM is a delightful and professional group.  I am impressed that everyone is willing to help and push you forward in the right direction to reach your goals.
The training at CAM covers a lot of information from beginning to the end.  You learn what is legal to do and what is illegal NOT to do.  The academic course preps you for your career goal and you get an understanding of what is expected from you on the job. The instructors are straight to the point and have the knowledge and experience to answer question about the course to help you in making the right decision.
The instructors encouraged you to master the material by making the information important and letting you know what it takes to make it towards your goals.  You have to do the homework and read to understand.
When I first entered CAM I had no real knowledge and understanding about the automotive management business.  My level of confidence was great and now I’m about 200% right of things that will not work.  Knowledge is the key to success.  The job market will change and you have to go with what’s hot.
I would recommend this program to my friends because it is an excellent program and career goal and it is straightforward.  The information is very good for today’s job market.

Graduation:  May 2008

The curriculum covers the material in each module to a much greater depth and breadth that can be completely absorbed in the 5 days per module.  I’ll easily spend the next week going over the material.

With respect to car sales, my confidence is substantially improved.  Since I only attended Module 1, car sales is the area where I feel most confident, however, I would like to attend Module 2 in the future.  Internet makes the most sense to me.  I believe this is the wave of the future.

I would recommend this program because it teaches you what you need to know and verifies you know it.

Donna, my Career Consultant, was amazing and answered all my questions.  We talked for a very long time about how much I love finance and how I love to help people.  She encouraged me to go for what I wanted.  I told her right away that I wanted finance.  I told her that I would sell cars at first but my career goal is finance.  Donna backed me 100% and so did my instructors.I did have assistance with financing my education.  My experience was okay.  At first it seemed it wasn’t going smoothly but after Becky, the Financial Coordinator, took it over everything went smoothly.  The staff at the College is very helpful and are very interested in helping the students with whatever they need.  I believe that as great as this course was it could have been completed faster.  Week 2, the internet course, I feel really could have been completed in just a couple of days.  I have learned a lot and I am grateful, but I feel we could shorten the 5 weeks or maybe add some more material.  I love that they want us to get 100% so that we learn it all the best that we can.  The instructors were amazing and were great at answering all of our questions and making sure we understood it all.I wasn’t exactly confident before learning all this material.  I am the kind of person that will sell anything I can when I know and understand everything.  I love cars and was excited about taking these classes but I came out with so much more and can’t wait to get out there and sell cars.  I am so much more excited about getting into finance though.  I feel like I have learned so much which makes me so confident in getting out there and helping people get into the car of their dreams.

I think that you learn so much from these classes and if you want to be successful learning everything

Graduation:  May 2008

Previous to attending the College, I was a finance manager supporting the sales force at AT&T.  The initial difference between the training at the College and the training I received in the past is that the automotive industry is different from telecommunications.  The terms have different meanings.  Also, my training here has been more geared for the individual consumer as opposed to a large company. My Career Consultant explained all the courses to me.  However, I had already determined that I would like to study finance management for auto sales because I had been a financial manager in the telecomm industry and would like to continue that path.Sallie Mae is the funding company that gave me a loan to attend the College.  It was an easy process.  I only had to pass a minimum credit score, unknown to me, and apply.Everyone I interacted with, including the classmates, were nice and helpful. The curriculum is very informative, especially for those who are interested in auto financing.  However, I feel that the course can be condensed into 4 weeks.  Week 2, internet, can be paired with week 1.  It’s innate for me to master the material.  As for the instruction, if I performed less than 100% on an exam I was instructed to study and re-take the exam.

Before the training, and presently, I was very confident in my ability to learn and do what is presented to me.  Now that I’ve had the training, I am confident that I’ll be a great finance manager.  I feel confident in obtaining any management career in the auto sales industry.  I’d also feel confident in some banking or real estate positions.  At this time I have a wider range of knowledge about finance and will continue to grow in my education.  I came to this school to start this new career path.  I’ll stay with it for as long as I’m happy with it.

Graduation:  May 2008

Previous to the course I managed the sales department for marketing and advertising company specializing in the auto industry. Before the course, I did not know how detailed the auto sales process could be or how internet affects large portions of the dealership, and how critical the finance department is to the dealership.  Now I feel I can walk into any three of these departments and perform at a very high level.  My Career Counselor, Gabriela, provided me with different career paths and helped me narrow them down based on my interests.  I had financing through Sallie Mae and it was simple and worry free.  The staff is very helpful and informative.  The curriculum was detailed, and updated to mirror today’s auto standards.  The instructors provided tests and quizzes everyday to ensure that I mastered the material.  I want to work in the finance department because it allows me to interact with the public while working with numbers.  It also allows me to sell in sales.

Tyler Ross

Graduation:  May  2008

Previous to attending the College I had been in sales for 16 months at Shaver Automotive.  I was guided the “right” way to this process.  The staff is very friendly and informative.  The curriculum is very good, however, it may have been useful to role play more of the interactions in F&I between the F&I and the lender.  It was a great process.  With my real world sales experience and now with F&I schooling, I feel very good about my future.  I would feel confident in F&I, as a Sales Manager, GM, and Owner because I feel confident in all the steps that go into selling a car! I would recommend this course to others because it’s great knowledge.

Brandon Boeckmann

Graduation:  May 2008

I’ve had 10 years in the automotive industry as an advertising assistant, rental clerk, sales assistant, pre-owned coordinator, strategic planning and a salesperson.  I am now moving into F&I and I wanted and needed to learn as much as I can about the process and legalities.  Everything is great so far.  I wish the class put a little more emphasis on the “real world” situations and a little less sales training.  I have been through the NADA Academy, which was awesome.  They great thing about CAM it is a much more intimate class setting.  They are two totally different areas of training but much more one on one time with the instructor here.  I felt like I know most of the material from being in the industry for so long but it was very eye opening as well.  I did learn a lot about compliance and legal issues.  All the instructors have been great.  They encouraged us to master everything.  The repetition of the materials allows everything to sink into memory.I feel much more confident in describing and explaining the F&I process now.  I have never had any confidence problems with any customers in the past except with describing some of the documents on a salesman.  Now I will have no problems.I feel confident in obtaining F&I, sales management, or Dealer Principal primarily because now I know what I’m talking about when it comes to all legal and DMV matters, and paperwork.I personally think that anyone and everyone who wants to go through Finance needs to experience Sales first.  It would give someone the training and knowledge needed to succeed as a top performer in the Finance Department.

Graduation:  May 2008

The financing portion was the most difficult, however, my finance contact, Becky, was phenomenal in her help.  My encounters with staff members were always positive.  My overall impression has been very good overall.  For a five week program it is very intense and detailed.  The instruction has been first rate.  Thy encouraged us to master 100% of the material by sharing their own experiences both good and bad and the difference of knowing the material versus someone who doesn’t and the financial impact of both is what encouraged my drive to learn as much as possible.  All of the instructors have been great.  I don’t have a problem with confidence but by attending this course I am very confident that I can obtain an F&I position anywhere.  I like business hours best.  But the challenge of dealing with the banks and improving overall efficiency in the dealership would be a great challenge.  In order to accomplish my ultimate goal, I would like to learn the dealer structure.

Graduation:  May 2008

My experience with financing was good.  It was through Sallie Mae.  Everyone was nice and professional.  The instructors taught us the textbook methods and included real world methods that we would be facing out in the dealerships.  The second week could have been condensed into 2 days.  Some weeks tried to cram too much information into a short period of time.  I suggest they should have spread the entire course over 5 weeks, instead of having material set aside week by week.  Rote memorization is outdated and not practical for everyone and for every situation.  The school needs to include both rote and logical memorization into its program.  Testing should include a logical method such as multiple choice.Top notch teachers and staff.  The three teachers that we had were great and each of them taught us different sides of the business.  I believe every 5 week class should have at least 2 different teachers.  Nice people.

My Career Consultant was great at helping me.  She answered all the questions that I had.  It was easy to finance my education and it really wasn’t that much hassle.  All the staff was very nice and helped me every step of the way until I finished the course.  They left a good impression.

The curriculum takes you step by step through the process of how to sell a car and how to treat our customers.  The program gave me the sources to master the skills by going over testing materials and explaining everything so that I could understand it.  I can become a great salesperson because I now have the knowledge to accomplish my goals in the automotive business.    I want to do this because it looks and sounds like a great career where I can meet many people.

Before I started the program, I was not that confident on how to talk to customers.  Know that I have completed the course my confidence level is up and I can talk to anyone without feeling nervous.

It doesn’t matter if you know or don’t know about the business, once you finish this course you’ll have the sources to be a successful salesperson.

I never worked in automotive sales; however I have worked as an assistant manager for Quiktrip in Oklahoma for almost two years.  While working there my training wasn’t that great.  All I did was read and work.  Then was told, “Okay, now do it.”  But here, at CAM, the training was more “hands-on” and was actually fun to learn.  The College makes you want to learn more about the field of business.

I wasn’t sure about what course to take at first so my Career Consultant explained to me in further detail about each one and helped me make a choice.  She made it clear what experience I needed in order to go further in a dealership career and we decided what course would be best for me.   To finance my education I had to apply for a student loan.  I had no problems; it was fast and easy.

I enjoyed the College; it was a lot of fun and everybody was nice and professional.  My first impression was, “Wow, what a professional place.”  Everybody is courteous and always smiling.

The curriculum and instruction was great.  It made everything clear and easy to understand.  If I had any questions the answers were right in front of my face.  The script was the hardest part, but my instructor encouraged me by giving me ideas on how to study it.  He also made sure I knew exactly what I was doing.  The training in this past two weeks has been great and very helpful.  They stressed the importance of making your customers feel comfortable and helping them understand everything better.

I wasn’t too confident before I went through the course.  I was worried I would mess something up.  However, my instructor made the material we covered understandable and fun.  Now I know I can sell my heart out and make the experience fun for other people.  I am confident I can be a good sales person or even and Internet person.  I intend to work as a sales person or in the Internet department for a while to gain some knowledge of the auto business.  Then I want to come back and finish the 5 week program and get into F&I.  I enjoyed the people and just the material I learned.  I had lots of fun and I hope to be able to use all this material to better succeed in my career choice.

Before attending the College, I had approximately 2 months automotive sales experience as well as other sales management in other industries.  I began to sense that car buyers were internet shopping.  I could see the impact this was having and I knew that I needed to learn more so as to improve as a sales professional.  I could sense that the younger generation was doing quite a bit of digital shopping.

During the discussions between my Career Consultant and me, and having sat through an overview of DSC and CAM it became apparent that really what I needed was to be trained properly to get the fundamentals and it was suggested that I might want the sales, leasing, and internet management 2 week full time course.

My financing was done and arranged for me by CAM headquarters at Santa Ana with Armando, my Career Consultant.  There were no problems.  The staff was very friendly and helpful.  The instructors have a wealth of experience and are knowledgeable about the automotive industry.

The course content gives a very detailed overview of the day to day running of a dealership.  It is both beneficial to those thinking of management and will equip a person to do ell at sales and leasing.  I think it is a “must” if you want to give yourself a chance of success.  The curriculum is jam packed with a wealth of automotive information.  From re-structuring to finance options, the sales side is grounded on a well written script that is very helpful.  The internet department is very interesting and shows one how to improve his chances of sales performance and management, and day to day communication and respond to prospects in a quick intelligent fashion.  We would practice and rehearse leasing and add on products until they were perfect.

I have remarked, now that I have a very good understanding of the industry, I am more confident as to where I fit in and have the tools to succeed.  It feels like I have sharpened the axe!  I now know the process and know what skills are needed to do the job properly.  Skills like presentation and negotiations and also managing inquiries, responding promptly and converting shoppers to buyers.

I would recommend this program to my friends because the fundamental training is very sound.

Harmon, my Career Consultant, was great.  He gave good advice and walked me through the process, checking and making sure I was ready to “go”.  He was helpful and always had a smile.  I must admit, I’m impressed with the staff.  They are very professional, happy, and friendly.  My instructor, Roy was great!  He had so much information to cover, but was very supportive and did a great job keeping me motivated.  The 2 weeks have gone by so fast.

The curriculum was great. It will definitely be the key to my success.  I’m very excited!  Roy did a great job; I have learned a lot.  I’m not sure how he does it, but he made me feel like I was backed all the way.  He made sure no one was left behind.

I was nervous at first, but am feeling more and more confident every day.  After finishing “stop the shopper” I will definitely want to use that in a sales position.  I’m looking forward to it.  That combined with a smile and a positive attitude the road can only lead to success.

I will follow this career path because it is a great school; I studied very hard, and spent a lot of money on my education.  I think there is a lot of opportunity in this industry.  The program is great and I believe it can be a key to my success if I utilize what I have learned.

This has been a great 2 weeks!  I had wonderful classmates and staff.  The course was a lot of hard work, but I also found the time to make a lot of new friends.

Bruce, my Career Consultant, was very helpful, but I think Sharon really “sold” me on the program during her presentation.  Everyone at the College is caring and friendly.  Both my Career Consultant and the Program Director, Sharon, have spoken with me multiple times to assure that I feel comfortable and am learning.  The instruction I received was very valuable and I was provided many insights!  Roy is very knowledgeable and a great communicator.  I learned a lot through the exercises and the lecturing.

At the beginning, I had no or little understanding of the sales process, now I feel very confident.  I would like to work on the floor as a salesperson.  I feel having a background in internet sales will be very marketable on my resume.

I think a lot of people can benefit from a career in this field.  And I would just like to say, “thank you”.

I worked in sales 15 years ago for only 2 months, but did not receive any training at that time, so all the curriculum from the College was new and valuable to me.  All the staff are very friendly and helpful.  Roy was a great instructor; knowledgeable in the industry.  The curriculum was experience based which made it more believable and hands-on.

During the 1st week the “encouragement” was intense and I felt pressure.  Diamonds are formed under pressure though, so I guess it is all good!  Before the training I was unsure and had low self-esteem, now I am confident and ready to take it on!  I would like to manage the internet department and assist in sales in any capacity.  I am going to follow this path because, “in for a dime, in for a dollar”.  I would recommend this program to my friends because it is much needed information to build success on.

My Career Consultant really explained to me how this career works.  The staff gave me hope and supported me in my choice of this kind of career.  I think the learning aids that they gave me are really informative and I will be able to use this in my future job.   It really motivates me a lot when my instructor gave me the questions a day before the test.  Before the training I was not confident if I could sell a car since I had no experience in sales.  Now I have built a lot of confidence in my selling abilities.  I know I can help people with their needs and wants.  The materials they gave me and taught are so powerful to use in the car industry.  I would recommend the program to my friends because this training will help them succeed in their career and will be a powerful tool to use for the rest of their lives.

This institution brings a lot of hope to the people craving knowledge in changing their career.  I admire my instructor for unselfishly sharing his knowledge in the car industry.

Graduation:  May 2008

Previous to attending the College, I had 2 months at Foothill Ranch Chevrolet as a salesperson.  I was not very successful and did not have a good understanding of the business.  I knew I could be happier and more successful in another position.

The difference between the College’s and other training I’ve had in the past is that the College’s training is much more complete and in depth.  Of course, no one else is paying for it, I’m paying for it so there is more motivation on my part.

Donna was very helpful in outlining the options and the benefits of each module.  She was very supportive and enthusiastic.  The financing was with Sallie Mae, which as always was slightly annoying, but usually comes through in the end.  Interaction with the CAM staff has been friendly and professional at all times.  I like everyone here that I’ve met.  They are knowledgeable, and seem to enjoy being here. The instructors have bent over backwards to help us learn 100% of the material.  The breadth and depth of the curriculum and instruction is, I believe, as much as it can be.  There are so many spins on the actual application in the “real world” that being more specific would, in the long run, be counter-productive.

I know much more about the way things run in the auto industry than I did before. My confidence level is much higher.  I feel that I could easily run an Internet Sales or F&I Department, probably as well as the business office.  The training that has occurred here at CAM has created a good base from which to build a career.  The school has given me the tools to go out and do what I want to do and what I came here to do.  They have the best approach to the auto industry.  CAM provided the knowledge, word tracts, and practice necessary to assure success.

My Career Consultant was great.  She really boosts me up.  After first meeting with her, and having her explain everything to me, I wanted to start right away.  Thanks Gabby!

I am impressed how wonderful the College employees treated each other.  The receptionist is sweet and kind.  Everyone is great and hard working.  They show their commitment.

When I first started, I really didn’t know anything about financing, but Lex explained everything to us and it really started to make sense.  It was pretty hard at first because I haven’t used some of the formulas in such a long time, but it has helped me build character.

I’ve never received any other automotive sales or management courses, but what I’ve experienced I really feel like this school is going to be around for a long time.

The curriculum is hard stuff; a lot of hard work.  But again, it builds character and I get things done and it has helped me stay on top of things.  Lex let me retake a test which showed me that he was not going to give up on me.  As long as I showed him that I wasn’t giving up, he’d give me an extra push that I needed to pass a test that needed to be done.

I feel more confident with myself now and working with Lex and the other students has really helped build my confidence.  With my new skills I feel confident I will be a great sales woman!  Lex taught me to really take care of the customer and not yourself.  Don’t think of the pay, think of the customers needs and it will all come together in the end.

My career path has been set up for me as an awesome guide for success. This was such a great opportunity that I would recommend it to my friends.

I would like to say thank you.  You have a great school.

My Career Consultant helped my by providing me insights, experiences, and also career possibilities and opportunities. My finance experience was smooth and easy.  The staff is receptive, warm, loving and extremely helpful.  They truly make you feel like a real person and not just a statistical number.  Instructors were very knowledgeable, always providing me with most up-to-date information.   They go out of their way to ensure students received a quality education.  The materials used were very helpful and include hands-on training.  The instructors also shared experiences and provided us with good suggestions and working advice.  They ensured that we understood the class material prior to the end of our day.

I have a strong confidence level now.  More than I did before, however, I can always be better once I start my first job.  I am most confident with the F&I position.  I feel more comfortable and truly feel like I am helping someone else when I sit and discuss figures and financing options.  My banking, interpersonal, diplomatic, one-on-one communication, and diligence when it comes to contracts or agreements because these experiences make me feel truly like I am helping others; which is something I love.

This course helps you understand and how to be a better manager of both your life and your career; any career.  It also helps you truly help consumers who are out there to purchase a new or used vehicle.  For these two reasons, I would recommend the program to my friends. This course has been a wonderful experience.  The staff was wonderful; exceptionally warm and loving.  They took care of me and accommodated me when I faced an emergency situation, they were very understanding.

My Career Consultant, John, was very helpful to me and helped me accomplish the goals that I had set for myself.  He’s become a good friend that I look forward to seeing in the future.

The financing of my education was a little rocky at the beginning but we worked everything out.  Becky, the financial coordinator, was so helpful and John and Lex, my instructor, were both great.

The staff at the College left a great impression on me.  Lisa, the receptionist, is fantastic, so sweet, kind, supportive and encouraging.  Lex was a great instructor, very knowledgeable and fun.  He really helped us learn and understand the information, as well as push us to be our best.  I am so grateful to the College and the staff.

Training at the College is very thorough and encompasses all aspects.  It helps you get and stay in the right mindset.  It is far superior to most training programs.  The curriculum covers everything you could possibly want and more.  The training is so complete that it trains you not only to do the job of sales, but it helps you understand every job and aspect of a car dealership.  Even in the 2 week Sales/Internet course you learn a lot of F&I, laying the ground work for dealing with an F&I person at the dealership, as well as further training in F&I at CAM.  I’m definitely coming back for further F&I training.  We concentrated a lot of effort on learning the material and on test preparation.  Lex really wanted to make sure that we really understood the information.  He encouraged questions and answered them in a way that was informative and fun. It’s amazing how far we’ve all come in a few short weeks.  An experience of a lifetime.

My confidence level before training was a little shaky because I knew nothing about the car business, F&I, car dealerships, sales, etc.  My confidence level now is through the roof!  Lex is so great.  He really is an inspiration.  I will never forget him, and I will try my hardest to apply what he taught me, and help others that I meet throughout my life to improve and grow.  I want to share with others what Lex has shared with me!

With the great training from the 2 week course, I feel confident that I can succeed in Sales and Internet Management.  I watched not only myself, but others in the class really grow as people.  CAM gives you all the tools you need to succeed.  You learn not only the information you need, but the method to apply it.   I believe this career path will help me achieve my goals.

I would recommend the program to my friends because it is the best.  It’s expensive, but worth it.  The investment in yourself is the best investment you can make.  CAM helps you be all you can be.

I am really grateful to CAM and all the great people there for the opportunity to make a better life for myself, my family, and my loved ones.  CAM is the first step to a new life and I will always be grateful.

My Career Consultant, Charles, is wonderful!  He was like a father figure, extending patience and sound advice.  I appreciate his honesty and encouragement to pursue financial freedom while satisfying my own dreams at the same time.
My experience with financing my education was a smooth one.  They clearly explained all fees and obligations.  They dealership that hires me agreed to pay $500/month toward my loan, but I am required to pay the interest.
All the staff is great.  They have all been kind, courteous, and helpful!
Before training, I knew nothing about cars.  I’ve only been on a car lot once and I purchased my car from a family friend, not a salesperson.  Now that I’ve been trained, I understand the sales process a lot better.  I am more comfortable with the sales tactics, and my knowledge of vehicles is expanding.  I am confident that I will be a great sales and internet saleswoman.
The curriculum is clear and in-depth.  The script is very helpful.  The instruction has been thorough.  Lex is open to questions. The daily tests were stressful.  Leaving the house at 6 a.m. and getting home at 7 p.m., I’m left with very little time and energy to study.  I enjoyed the open-book tests.  It took the pressure off and allowed me to actually retain the information.  Lex made sure that when I incorrectly answered a question that I find the correct answer in the book and edit my mistake.
I know I will be great on the sales floor and as an internet sales consultant.  My goal currently is to work in F&I as an F&I manager.  I will succeed in all those positions because I am educated in those fields (I will be back more training in F&I training) and because I have a kind personality that exudes helpfulness, honesty, and professionalism.  I will follow the career path that was recommended to my by my Career Consultant because I want to be financially comfortable and well-off.  The vehicle industry is lucrative, and I love cars and people.
I would recommend this program to my friends because the enrollment counselors are helpful in gathering personal information and helping to choose the career that fits each person best.  Another reason I would recommend it is because the training is so thorough that success is an unspoken guarantee for those who apply the material.

I had never worked in the automotive industry, but I have 14 years of management experience, and now I know that I will do good in this industry because I am passionate on everything I do.  I know that I got the right training and information, this training is very challenging and interesting and I know for sure that I am ready to be successful.

In my life I have had several training courses and many trainers, but I have never seen the dedication and commitment I have seen from CAM trainers.  They are the best of the best.  This experience has been great.  The instructors are very professional, respectful and very cooperative with us during our training period.  They challenged me to do my best, shared with me their mistakes and the outcome of those mistakes, and gave us real life solutions, not just paper statements.
It was always nice to come to class and interact with instructors, students, staff personnel and very important the receptionist was always making us feel welcome with a nice smile and professional attitude while assisting us with questions.  The finance reps were very helpful in assisting me getting financed.  They worked with me through the process and helped me to complete the paperwork and I really enjoyed working with them. My Career consultant helped guide my through the process by asking me all the necessary questions, but not too many.  Michelle is the best!
My level of confidence is really high because I know I have the knowledge and with my knowledge I will be able to sell myself better to prospective recruiters.  I feel confident to work as a professional salesperson, internet sales manager, or finance and insurance manager because I have the knowledge that is required and because I have the desire to be successful in this industry and I will do whatever is needed to get it done.  If I spend the time to learn and to prepare myself for a better future, I better go and do what it takes.  I know what I want and I know I can and am ready to do what it takes.
I would like all the people I love and care about to have the opportunity to prepare for the future at the right place with the right instructors, so I would refer others.  If I can do it, anybody can do it!  Keep up the great work.

I used to work for Diamond Car for about 9 months.  At Diamond Car I was a part time salesperson, and the other time I spent doing clerical duties and customer service.  I’m seeking this training because I want to work with the bigger and more professional dealers.

All of the staff at CAM is great.  The financial department was very helpful.  My instructor, Lex has helped me build more confidence in what I love to do, which is being able to help people and make big bucks at the same time.  He guided me through every step of the way to be successful on my next job.

From the training at CAM, I received more information than when I was attending college.  I would like to say that the curriculum is great because it has so much information that I’ve never known or seen before.  The program is perfect for any sales position, not just for automotive.  The instructor has a lot of knowledge of the market which would be very helpful to the students.

I had less confidence on the sales business before I attended the class.  After two weeks of studying the program and the scripts, I have a lot more confidence.  I want to be an internet consultant and I feel confident in this field because I studied the program and believe in it.  It will help me be successful.  I would recommend this program to others because it would help build a better salesman than any other program that I have heard or know of.

Keep up the good work.

All the staff at the College are friendly and supportive.  My Career Consultant helped me determine the right career path by asking me if I was good at math and if I liked cars.  Sales and Internet is one of the most misconceived professions and I would like to revolutionize the whole industry while creating wealth for myself.  This program prepares for any career in the automotive industry extremely well.

The breadth and depth of the curriculum is excellent.  Even though I consider myself very knowledgeable in the automotive world, I still learned a lot because over 50% of the instruction materials I have know or have misconceptions about.  The materials taught were tested the following day and the scripts were role played, which ensures the students to learn the materials quickly.

I was not very confident about the car sales industry and I would say I was only about 50% confident before.  However, after completing the course I am 99% confident.

Graduation: April 2008

"All the staff at CAM are very nice, kind and supported me all the way. Especially my teacher Dave Holt, he answered every single question that I asked him. Before I came here I didn't know anything about car sales, internet sales or F&I. I went step by step and learned. I know how to sell the vehicle, stop the shopping and turn it into a buyer that will commit to buy today. I can read credit history and do F&I like a professional. I feel very confident."

Graduation: April 2008

The instructor and staff pushed me to learn, learn, learn.  I learned a lot in a short period of time.  It will be easier going into sales now that I have been trained instead of going in blind.  I will be able to apply myself and give 100% of myself to my job and be able to excel into other positions faster.  I am very excited but still have butterflies.

Jonathan Borillo

Graduation: April 2008

The College of Automotive Management has met and exceeded my expectations. My career consultant provided me with information on what I needed to do to become a salesperson. My career counselor took care of all the processing and all I had to do was provide the information. The college staff was very knowledgeable, helpful and ensured I learned all the information. The curriculum is in depth and focuses on actual possibilities that may or will happen on the job which is helpful so I have a basic idea on what I will be dealing with. Before training I was clueless and had a small amount of knowledge of the business. Now I have a good idea on what I need to be doing. With the training I received I believe I can be a professional salesperson and the career I have chosen is the perfect career that suites me well. I think this program is beneficial for the people that want to get somewhere and have no idea on how to do it.

- Jonathan Borillo

David Peters

Graduation: April 2008

After discussing my previous work history and experience with a College of Automotive Management counselor we determined that a position in Finance or Special Finance would best match my abilities and career goals. The financing was relatively quick and satisfactory. The college staff was favorable, professional, and knowledgeable. The curriculum was thorough and covers all necessary aspects of the business and provides training for the specific job areas specified. The instructors stress the importance of the information based on their personal knowledge and experience in the industry. Before the training I would not have considered this career because of no sales experience or knowledge of the automotive industry. After completion of the training I feel confident of being capable of performing the duties of a Finance Manager satisfactorily.

- David Peters

Madelyn Rhodes

Graduation: April 2008

Without any automotive experience I made the decision to get trained at the College of Automotive Management. The whole process was great. From the time I spent with my career counselor laughing and crying to the time in class with my instructor who was humorous and professional I have loved every person I came in contact with. The course was a lot to take in at a short period of time but it takes practice at this kind of material to be sure you get it right. My career path is sales for the time being because I love dealing with people and making sure they are happy and this position will allow me that opportunity. This is just a step closer to becoming a Finance Director and I will tell others about the College of Automotive Management because if they are considering a job in sales for a dealership they need to know this information.

- Madelyn Rhodes

Scott Ritchey

Graduation: April 2008

I was very interested in attending the College of Automotive Management before even speaking with a counselor. After speaking with a counselor I was even more satisfied with my decision. The process to arrange financing was very easy and the entire staff I met with had very positive attitudes. I was very impressed with the passion all of the instructors have for their jobs and for teaching all of us everything they can. I have no previous automotive sales experience and now that I have completed the course I look back and can not believe how much I have learned in only 5 weeks. I feel very confident about my future in the automotive business thanks to the college and its amazing instructors. I would recommend this program to others because the program is extremely informative and gives you the tools to succeed. I also feel it is a great way to move quickly into a management position because of the education you are provided.

I was a manger of a part stores and body shop prior to attending the College of Automotive Management. The staff there gave me confidence in the path I was headed and the instructor made sure I understood the information before moving on. At first the class was challenging but as I kept with it I got better and better at understanding the industry and now feel that I have enough knowledge to progress and be successful in Sales or an Internet Rep position.

Graduation: February 2008

I sold cars for one year and owned a used car dealership for over 3 years. Finance is my new challenge and I felt the course was very in depth and very valuable information. Before the training I felt a little insecure now I feel that I can do a finance position. The instructors were great and help you really understand how to do things the right way. I would recommend this course to sales people looking to get to F&I.

- Ulises Pimentel

Guillermo Terrazas

Graduation: February 2008

My career counselor recommended the best options she felt for me and gave me good reasons to consider them. Upon consideration I chose to move forward and attend the 2 week Sales and Internet course. The entire staff was very friendly and welcoming and I had a great experience with everyone during the enrollment process. Not having an automotive background I was still ready for the challenge. As the curriculum was taught I was impressed on how informative, interesting, and down to the point the material was. The program is set up in a way that it is difficult to fall behind and it’s almost as if you’re getting one-on-one training, it’s great! My confidence level is always high and having been trough this training I know I am prepared to move into a good sales or internet sales position. It was a great program that delivers what it promises.

Ronald Nocum

Graduation: February 2008

Having a background in banking and lending I saw a similarity in the automotive industry and decided to check out my options. The College of Automotive Management was great in assisting me in choosing a career path that would work best for me. My confidence level was high the first day; however, I discovered it was not an easy course which gave me a great challenge. Now that it’s over I feel proud of myself completing it and will be making the move to a dealership position. I would recommend the College of Automotive Management to everyone looking to get into a career with great earning potential.

Saira Dominguez

Graduation: April 2008

My counselor was extremely helpful. She discussed everything in detail with me and assured this was what I desired prior to taking out a loan. She helped me step by step and always remained very approachable and professional and answered my questions expeditiously. I was very impressed by the instructor’s professionalism and thorough knowledge of the automotive field. He taught the material in a very presentable manner and has a friendly and approachable personality. There was plenty of material to cover, but I was able to memorize plenty of it and the scripts given. The breadth of the curriculum was very in depth and I believe that I learned plenty of important aspects to becoming a good salesperson in the automotive world and have the confidence in my selling abilities that I didn’t know I possessed. I am now ready for this career and would recommend it to anyone willing to apply themselves.

Carlos Rodriguez

Graduation: March 2008

When I meet with my Career Consultant, he provided me with a lot of information on all my Career possibilities. He found out what I was interested in and used that to determine what I was good at. Then when I signed up, my career consultant helped me with getting funded. He went over all the paper work and made sure I understood what I was signing. I felt confident that I knew exactly how this was all going to go. Everyone I encounter was great! Everyone treated me with respect and was very courteous.

When I was in class I felt that all the information was clear and easy to understand. The extensive curriculum will help in future career opportunities. The instructor was very positive and motivational. We did test and reviewed the material to make sure we knew it. He informed us of the importance of knowing the curriculum for our own benefit. My confidence has gotten a little better after the class, but I’m sure I can handle the job I’ve been trained to do, and my new career is going to be Internet Sales Consultant or Salesperson. After taking this course the position of Internet Sales seems very interesting. I feel I have what it takes to succeed in the department.

Robert Stewart

Graduation: May 2007

I have not received any auto sales training in the past, but feel after taking the F&I Management course from CAM, I have enough knowledge now to do extremely well in the industry.  I felt the material was very thorough giving me a clear general overview of the auto business which I did not have before. The instructors did a great job of motivating me and I feel confident even with out experience.

My background in finance and my ability to work with people will help me become successful in this industry. My ability to make people comfortable with me when they are around me along with my new skills and knowledge will be a winning combo for my future success. I can’t see it any other way. You want to succeed in the auto business, you need CAM!

-Robert Stewart

Francois Yazadjian

Graduation: April 2008

I have experience in car sales working at Regal Dodge, Lexus of Glendale and CarMax of Buena Park in the past, and was in training to become an F&I Manager. I found that the training at CAM is different because the emphasis is on doing everything honestly, ethically, by abiding to all laws and regulations.
The way the training is taught is impressive because it shows how experienced and knowledgeable the instructors are. The way that the class was structured made me have to learn the material 100% because we were tested daily, which made us have no choice but to study on a regular basis.
I was very skeptical before getting started, not really sure what I was getting into. Now thanks to the real world experience of the instructors, I feel much more confident that I made the right decision. I believe the career path I have chosen was a good decision because my career consultant, instructors and placement staff all wants to see me succeed, and they have enough experience to know what’s best for the students. I would recommend this training to my friends because of how everything has been professional.
CAM exceeded my expectations.

-Francois Yazedijian

Krystal Perkins

Graduation: April 2008

My Career Consultant at CAM and I both agree that Finance and Insurance Management is the perfect fit for my talents and desires. She counseled that taking the two week course then the internship for a year, followed by completion of the final three weeks of the F&I course would be the best practice. It would be the best practice because I wouldn’t just have the credentials, but actual sales experience as well.
I am using the in-house $5500 loan to pay for my training. I am happy to know I have the option of the dealership I will be employed with will pay the loan minus he interest. I feel good about going into a career where the employers are so supportive. The staff at CAM were supportive, friendly, professional and personable. The training is intense with lots of valuable information. I am sure it takes the average salesperson 6 months to 1 year to learn what we are exposed to in 2 weeks. I was told in my interview that we are expected to master 100% of all of the material. I went home and mentally prepared myself to perform to their expectations. I am confident I will do well, although I am a little nervous because I know class and real world application are two different entities.
The Careers that I feel confident in obtaining and succeeding in after the course are Internet Sales Manager 1-3 months, Internet Sales Director 3 months to 1 year and then Finance and Insurance Manager 1 year. I feel confident I can succeed in these areas because most people in these positions did not get the training necessary to have the position they have experience only. After completion of the curriculum here, I will have both.

-Krystal Perkins

Elias Urias

Graduation: April 2008

I came to College of Automotive Management with absolutely no Sales or management experience. I was intrigued about the industry and interested in learning about the industry. My Career Consultant was very helpful informing me that I need to start at the bottom and then climb the ladder of success. This was very helpful because I sure don’t know how to be a manager at a car dealership. However after the training I feel I have a better view of how an auto dealership functions.
I was impressed by the college and its employees because of the professionalism that everyone there displayed. The curriculum is very good, and I think everything I need to be successful with is in these books and covered in the class. They even gave examples of previous students that mastered the material and ended up very successful, and that gave me insight to what I could expect going forward in the industry.
When first started out in this training I had very little confidence that I could succeed in this business, because I did not know anything about it. But after the training I have a better understanding of the business and how the dealerships work. I feel much more confident, and believe the industry is strong and going to get stronger. I feel that CAM is doing a great job at providing students with the tools necessary to be successful in the auto industry. CAM exceeded my expectations, thank you.

-Elias Urias

Sully Miskinyar

Graduation: April 2008

I knew nothing about the auto industry when I started a CAM, but now I feel I would feel very comfortable if I had to hold a conversation with someone about a dealership and how it runs. There is so much to know, I would love it to be 2 weeks longer to know more. The instructors have been great at explaining things and answering all my questions. The whole class was very informative about so many things. Of course F&I is where I want to start, but I want to become a finance director eventually.
I think that the training was great and I want to tell my friends all about it, I think it is worth every penny. In fact I feel like 5 weeks is not enough time there is so much to learn.

-Sully Miskinyar

Erick Diaz

Graduation:  April 2008

"CAM has taught me to LOVE.  The depth of instruction is astonishing.  I cannot fathom the though of ever having learned at a dealership all the rules, regulations and techniques that I have learned at CAM.  The instructors always reassured we understood everything 100%.  They were enthusiastic when answering all questions posed by students, and if they couldn’t answer at that time they found the time to research the correct response.  Initially, I wasn’t too sure of being able to sell products that customers always find ways to object to; and I wasn’t sure how I would handle rejection.  Now I am confident that I can sell’ happily’ with acceptance or rejection.  I feel that I can now begin a career in F&I, achieve my goals of working my deals from beginning to end (sales and finance) and ultimately owning a chain of dealerships;  all because of the book knowledge, communication skills and LOVE I was taught here at CAM.  I would recommend this program because I feel everyone has the opportunity to better themselves and they should take advantage of it.  I LOVE EVERYONE!"

-Erick B. Diaz

David Garske

Graduation: February 2008

“I was confident going in, and learned to keep the faith with the curriculum and with the instructor who skillfully never let us sink deep enough to sink. My experience has been that my confidence has grown every single day during the five week course. I am ready to excel as an F&I Manager. I could be an excellent Internet Sales Manager or even a Salesman.” All of it is possible.”

-David Garske

Graduation: January 2008

“I want to thank all of the staff for their pleasant friendliness and smiles. Thank you Sharon for believing in me and Solomon for taking care of me. As for Dave, you’re excellent. You make me want to teach in the future. I’ll never forget all of you. This has been one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. I have never studied so much. I had to put my life on hold for 5 weeks but I can’t wait to utilize my skills. All of you are great, very professional and fun to be around!”

-Omar Chavez

Graduation: April  2008

"Cam’s staff, management and instructors are very nice and sincere. I felt comfortable and welcoming at all times. The program is perfect, very detailed. Roy is very knowledgeable and always well explained all of the procedures. Before training I felt so new to this, not knowing what to expect. I realized that I have learned and understand how this will benefit me. I remember it says “Knowledge Builds Confidence” in one of the chapters, and right now I feel so confident. Thanks to the training that Roy and CAM gave me. I will take what I have learned with me and will start a new career."

Richard Freeman

Graduation: April 2008

"The staff at CAM was very pleasant, helpful and supportive with any questions or concerns that I had. The curriculum was excellent. We learned the material we will need for what we will be doing and seeing every day, once we get into the automotive field. I feel confident in obtaining and succeeding very well in the finance department. With all of my new skills I have learned. I also feel very confident I can obtain a career in automotive management. I would like to thank Roy (Especially for his teaching and instructing) for sharing his knowledge and skills to prepare us for the automotive industry. I would also like to thank the staff for all of their help and support."

" I felt like I was apart of the Cam and DSC family. I couldn’t ask for anything more. Everyone I spoke to gave me the impression that they supported me and my goals.

I thought the curriculum was informative and what I needed to be successful car sales professional. Dave is one of the greatest teachers I’ve ever had in my lifetime. He was a mentor for me in learning the correct way. I feel the knowledge I have gained is equal to 10+ years in the automotive business. I have picked up the good habits and will stay away from the bad ones."

"The interaction with CAM has been very positive and everyone has been helpful. They answered all of my questions and concerns. I did not have any management training before this but the instructor has been very helpful and I like that he has previous experience working at the car dealership. Steve Dunn

Graduation:  April 2008

"I think the college has provided a lot of useful information that will help me to become successful in the auto industry.  I though that learning the material 100% was a requirement not an option.  Before the training I was confident that I could be successful in the auto industry and the training has provided me with the tools to be even more confident.  I feel I can do every job within a dealership, however I am only interested in F&I as numbers and procedures are my strengths.  I am going to approach every opportunity as to what I can do for the dealership to make it a better place for everyone to work.  I believe my strengths with numbers, procedures and attention to detail is best suited to the finance department.  I would recommend this program because I think it is good information to have when pursuing a career in the auto industry.  I believe the most important thing I have learned is the importance of being a friend first and then talk about business. "

-Steve Dunn

Charles Piecukonis

Graduation: April 2008

The training I received from the College was amazing, but I have not had any other outside training. The curriculum was very, very informative and appropriate to what I think I will need to know to be successful in the automotive industry.
The instructors made every single day of class interesting and kept me engaged to want to know and master the information. Before I knew the training would be extremely challenging and was a bit intimidating. But after going though the whole course I am more confident then ever that I will be successful.
My career goals are;
F&I Manager, F&I Director, GM and then Principle someday.
I feel with CAM’s relationship with employers covering all of southern California, I have no reason not to follow my career path. There is no other school like CAM that will provide you with the knowledge you need to be successful in the Industry.

-Charles Piecukonis

Tim Ho

Graduation: April 2008

I have learned a tremendous amount about the automotive industry. I realize that the automotive industry needs more CAM graduates that are trained with the right tools to flood the industry. With the material that I learned and the future experience I will receive, the two put together, will automatically help me succeed in whatever I do.
After the training I definitely feel more well versed in the industry. Before the class, I thought I had great knowledge about finance. But what I have learned I now have more respect for all aspects of a dealership. I think that CAM met my expectations and I feel the training was very informative and there are more avenues of employment than I realized.

-Tim Ho

Meredith Maxwell

Graduation: April 2008

I had no previous Sales or Management experience before coming to the College of Automotive Management. The information in the course covers the intimate and complex details necessary to have a skill set to have an accomplished career in the automotive industry. Overall the Instructors were very patient and truly spent the time to being detailed oriented. They also encouraged us by insuring success by mastering the material.
My confidence level before I started training was average about my true value to the industry. But after the course I feel that my skill set and knowledge base fits accordingly.
I feel I will be able to obtain any position from sales to Internet sales to F&I because I have been equipped with the tools to succeed. I also have the passion for providing a service for people’s needs. I love people!!!
I want to know the business in its totality. Once I have a great foundation in the business then I can create and mold or write my own ticket. I am looking forward to see how the placement portion of this concept sets me up after properly utilizing the tools given to me. Godspeed!!!

-Meredith Maxwell

Graduation: April 2008

“My interactions with the college staff were good.  The instructors and receptionist were friendly.  The depth of the curriculum has exceeded my expectations.  I feel I will be ready to work when the class is over.  The instructor encouraged me to master the material by going over and over the material until I got it 100% right.  My confidence level has increased because I now know how the customer thinks and how to react.  It gave me the experience of the field so I won’t feel lost the minute I start working.”

 Raymond Wright

Graduation: April 2008

"All the staff welcomes you with open arms, as if you were family. The career consultant assured me that if I had any questions or concerns that she would be there for me. Everyone here has made me believe it is possible to strive for the top. At this stage in my life I have to make decision concerning my future and a future in this industry seems very bright. In other trainings I have been in you are trained to make money just for the store, but here you are making money for the store and making money for yourself. I was taught that if you follow your scripts you can become very successful in this business. Before I used to think of car salesmen as just trying to make a sale at all cost even if it meant not telling the truth. This training shows that you can be successful by following the scripts, telling the truth and finding out what your customers need. Now that I know more about the car industry I am very interested in learning more and more. The more I learn the more successful I will be and eventually the more money I will make."

-Raymond Wright

Wayne Altman

Graduation:  July 2007

"I am very happy to report things are super!! I am the Fleet Manager at Mark Christopher Chevrolet, Cadillac and Hummer in Ontario, Ca and I LOVE IT!!! Super job and awsome people.  I am selling a ton of cars, trucks and SUVs and making really decent money, not what I was making in the Mortgage Industry... However, I know alot of people that were working for me in mortgage who are unemployed right now too.  I am very proud of being a graduate of CAM and refer people all the time.  It was a great investment, both in time and money.  I know I would not be nearly as successful doing this as I am because of my training.   Today I write my own deals, do the finance and make decent money doing it.  I have a much better grasp of how things work than co-workers that have been in the industry much longer than me.   My latest book will be out in a few months and I have dedicated a chapter on how to buy a vehicle, all because of the knowledge I gain at school.  I guess you could say I am a very satisfied alum. "

 Jeremiah Elliott

Graduation: April, 2008

My experience at CAM was a great one. I liked my Career Consultant she was very helpful in showing me what every career path had to offer. The staff was very nice and genuine, and I liked that the instructors were very informal. The curriculum was very good and in depth. I think I learned as much as I can.
My confidence level was ok when I began the training but now I have full confidence in selling cars. Both my instructors have sold many cars and I feel they shared that knowledge with me so I can go and sell cars and make a lot of money.

 Erica Brown

Graduation: April 2008

At first when I decided to take the class I though that I had a good chance at being good in car sells but since I’ve been in class I now know that with the knowledge I’m being given I will succeed in this business. I’ve learned a lot on different subjects in the class and can see how things relate to one another in this business. The instructors had an answer for every question asked outside of the text. They basically encouraged learning the material by proving that it works by having a real life story to show how things played out. My instructors, Lex And Lawrence, have a great sense of humor and made the class fun and interesting. My counselor, Becky, helped me determine the right career path by evaluating my personality and assuring me that I would be able to make it in the industry. I feel as though the school is genuine and sincerely wants to produce the best sales, Internet and F&I people they can. I’m sure I’ll be successful so I would hope my friends could be successful too doing what I do and learning how I have learned.

Dennis Martinez

Graduation: March 2008

The training at the College of Automotive Management appealed to me because I have no specific automotive experience, but I have trained and advised managers and directors within the transportation logistics profession, and across applications within Aerospace, Defense, Medical, and Humanitarian and Disaster Relief agencies. Dynamic Sales Careers and CAM provide an excellent opportunity to gain and hone financial and professional sales skills focused within the automotive industry. In my opinion, attempting to delve into this arena without this detailed understanding would be a futile effort.

The instructors and staff at CAM and DSC are professional and courteous. Each and every person is friendly and sincere.  There seems to be too much surprise in my choice to be training at CAM, while I am also currently engaged in negotiations with several Aerospace contractors for strategic leadership opportunities. Sales and Automotive Management can be equally, if not more, rewarding than an R&D or Systems Engineering career, and the level of self reliance is much higher.

My expectations from CAM were to receive intensive, focused, industry specific training to allow me to quickly become effective in Automotive Sales and as an F&I Manager. I believe CAM has been efficient in providing and helping me develop these skills, and I am confident I can apply my strategic leadership abilities to benefit any dealer in Southern California. The full overview of how operations work at a dealership is critically beneficial, and the additional instruction on customer psychology and lender constraints and guidelines put this program over and above what I expected. I am very impressed!

Before this training I knew I would have a steep learning curve that would significantly limit my success at being effective as an F&I Manager. Now, I have complete confidence I can apply the skills developed at CAM to interview with and obtain positions at any dealer of my choice, and be highly effective within this profession. I also know that Automotive Management skills are transferable across many industries. As a Systems Engineer, I was required to understand customer needs and constraints, and be able to package products and services to meet those needs. The same techniques applied in the Auto industry have also served to effectively maximize the sale of billion dollar aircraft, as well as packaged after market products and services, such as maintenance contracts.

I would definitely recommend this training to my friends because it is the best comprehensive program to get the basics of Automotive Management, compliance regulations, effective sales techniques, lender guidelines and just plain old coaching to observe and eliminate bad habits, before delving into this new career opportunity. All I can say to summarize this is again, I am very impressed with CAM and DSC!

Rana Musal

Graduation: September 2007

I had management experience in the auto industry, but have been in the mortgage business for the last three years. I want to get into the auto industry so I took the Finance and Insurance course. The instructions I have received seem very useful and I have learned quite a lot. The curriculum is in detail but I have to see how helpful it is going to be. The instructor has been very encouraging and helped me in mastering and learning 100% of the material. My confidence level has certainly increased after the training.
With my new skill I am ready to obtain the F&I position. With my experience, as well as the training I have gotten at the College of Automotive I am very confident that I will do extremely well as an F&I Manager at any store. I am ready! There is no stopping me.
I am sure that my friends and relatives would also benefit from this program.

“I have never received training like this before. I have not seen such a friendly environment and family like manner the entire time I have been living in the U.S.A.

The staff went beyond the expectation of encouraging and pushing to learn 100% of the material. "

-Saad Abbas

Jason Montoya

Graduation: March 2008

“I was able to retain a lot because the instructor and staff made it a personable experience. They treated me like as if I was with them my entire life. They pushed me as hard as they could. I now know so much more that will not only help me in automotive sales but in business in general. I defiantly can now be an ultimate salesman or internet manager because of the education I received. I loved everything!

Robert Strickland

Graduation: March 2008

“I have sold vehicles off and on since 1998. I was “trained” by watching sales tapes in the conference room at the dealership. We also had weekly training meetings with a sales manager. The meetings would last about an hour and only cover the 4-square, 10 steps, leasing and demo. The curriculum an instruction I received at CAM far exceeded my expectations. I have seven years of college and graduate studies and this program was as informative as any of my previous coarse work. In fact, it was more beneficial on many levels. Having worked as a loan officer previously, I felt there would be some similarities between doing home loans and auto loans. However, I knew from being in auto sales I needed specific training to perform the duties of an F&I  Manager. Now I am confident I will be a successful finance manager. I was trained by a veteran manager, who emphasized and explained the skills required to be a great finance manager. I also feel extremely confident that I could set up or improve an existing Special Finance department or Internet department. I have the training and tools to succeed!”

Kent Ross

Graduation: March 2008

"I started in sales as a Sales Consultant on the floor for 14 months and I have been with the Internet department as a Sales Manager for the last 4 months. Promise of on the job training is why I have stayed at the same dealership. I learned a lot but I wanted an education of the highest grade. Becoming the Finance Manager is my goal at this time and I want to start in that position with the knowledge received through training at the best school. I have read many books about sales (Tom Hopkins, Joe Girard, Brian Tracy and Zig Ziglar to name a few) but the real automotive sales training I have received from Honda and video course by Paul Cummings, they both were not that good. Too polished and detached from reality. CAM provided a fundamental and comprehensive up to date knowledge through every intensive training; to ensure their students are properly equipped to become the best producers with excellent customer service skills right after graduation. I am new to the business but I would say I can now understand the entire business much much better. A message from a fortune cookie in my wallet says “you are a perfectionist, don’t spoil it.” I’m glad that 100% is almost a requirement. It is in the books and it is encouraged by my instructor many times every single day. It’s not easy to learn the huge amount of the unknown before material by heart and not miss a single vital word on the test. But I wouldn’t settle for less and I’m happy that by the program and my instructor, I’m not allowed to settle fir less than 100% I’m confident I have the edge to compete with other professionals that have been in the business for many years. I have to thank my instructor and the staff for making this education such an enjoyable experience. Thank you for being professionals consistently trying to improve the way the program is presented and simply trying to be the best. Thank you for giving me an opportunity to express my thoughts. Keep up the good work!"

“The instructor at CAM had a knack for presenting the materials in a way that made it stick, I believe because he followed all the material with an exampled story, made it more memorable. The curriculum was full of information in a short amount of time. I want to be successful and have a solid retirement. Everyone has to start somewhere and my goals are more important to me know than ever before. I absolutely enjoyed the entire staff. I felt comfortable and welcomed. I really want to thank my career councilors Betty and Solomon for the encouragement and confidence that I can do it and succeed with this career. My Instructor was Phenomenal!

Robert Clarkson

Graduation: March 2008

“Everyone at CAM was very professional and really showed concern to help you achieve your goals. The material I learned is college grade and then some. My instructor wanted me there and wanted me to be successful. If I was having a hard time he would stay after to help me. He covered the material at a fair pace and would go over it again until I got it. At first I was skeptical because I have been in the business about 13 years, so what could I learn. I realized that I needed to invest in my career and myself. I feel that I am much more able to do my job right, legal and also in a way that I feel comfortable selling.”

Fernando Conner

Graduation: March 2008

“My experience in the automotive field prior to attending training was 3 years Sales & Leasing, 5mos BDC manager, 4 1/2  years Special Finance Manager and 6mos as a Sales Manager. I walked in thinking I had 75% of what I needed to know and wanted this course to fill in the blanks. The first week I found out that I only had 30% and the rest was blank! This course was an eye opener. The instructor answered all my questions 100% of the time, explained everything and gave me one on one time when needed. I now know what to do, when to do it and why I am doing it.

Thanks."

Graduation: February 2008

“Everyone was nice and understanding and always willing to help. The curriculum was very involved and in-depth. I was able to absorb and gain a lot of knowledge and it was all worth it. They staff always encouraged me to push on and not give up when it was challenging. I had to take a test called “Stop the Shopper”, it was challenging and I didn’t think I would pass it. The Instructor made me realize I knew more than I thought I did. I got through and passed! It really helped me build my self esteem. My confidence level before I attended training was cloudy. After the training my confidence excelled. It gave me the mind set that anything I put my mind to is possible. I want to thank the staff for giving me the opportunity to apply my own knowledge and receive even more. I know I will go into a dealership feeling confident that I will be a great Internet Manager!”

I feel they touched on areas I will need to excel in my career. In fact, I think it was so much more. My instructor took the time to make sure I understood and was comfortable before moving on to the next lesson. Before I came into the College I had no confidence. But all that has changed now. I walked away with my head held high and look at life in such a better way.”

Thank you all,

“My experience at CAM gave me the training needed to expedite my opportunity for advancement. The training I received differed from the automotive sales training I received at the dealership. It was more complete and consistent. I knew the path I wanted to take and attending training made it possible. Everyone was very supportive, had a positive attitude and always had a smile. Roy was the best teacher I’ve ever had. The Instructors always encouraged me to learn more. I am confident and knowledgeable. Earl Yoo

Graduated: March 2008

"The program appeared to be very appealing to me in respect to the Internet Sales management position. I was impressed by Milam’s eagerness to get me started and felt he was concerned about my success. I was able to place my trust on him, as I became very captivated by the idea of making money off of people by loving and caring for them. I feel like this job could make me morally content. I was also impressed and not concerned about my tuition because of the dealership tuition reimbursement agreement.
Everyone at CAM has an amazing level of friendliness and charm. I was really enthralled by how the president voiced his concerns with a struggling student and encouraged all the non-five weekers in my week there. I really love the professional setting and relaxed staff. It’s been a joy to feel that this education could be pragmatic and potent, compared to my college background. The material I have received is very comprehensive and impressive. I find that I have been faced with challenges in Ron’s F&I course. It served as a reminder that I need to not let my guard down too much. The teaching staff has an excellent amount of wisdom and do a great job with sharing their experiences to students. The material is not just a tedious read through, but also includes a dynamic teaching of how to generate a sale. The program has this amazing appeal of making the student feel valuable and worthwhile to invest in studying it. I find that I have never been more serious and active in a class then this one. I have voiced some doubts in the form of questions and have not received empty answers. I am glad that I am not pushing away my concerns and addressing them already in class. I believe that students at CAM have an advantage with a great facility and access to staff."

"I worked for one month for Mazda in Northern Ca. as a sales person in 1995. I didnʼt feel comfortable there because I didnʼt feel I had enough experience or knowledge required to be successful there. I came to College of Automotive Management to learn what it takes to become successful in the Automotive industry.
Donna Lacey was my Career Consultant. She was very honest, very detailed about what is required of me and what I could expect from the school. Donna was very patient and approachable and exudes professionalism with a lot of heart. She is the reason I said yes to the school. Donna assisted me with the financing, again another great experience that could have been very stressful.
The whole staff of CAM was very friendly and willing to assist whenever needed. Part of their slogan is I can help you today! They live up to that slogan. My impression is that all Education Centers could do with the training on how to teach and treat others from the staff at this college.
The instructors are very patient and have a working knowledge of the industry. The training I have had in the past was basically thrown about. If you got it great,  if not too bad. Here I feel every student leaves with a good understanding of the industry. The training is not at all easy. The material is vast and foreign to some degree. Every day there is a test. This is a cram course, but you can return to school to brush up or retake any lesson if with in a year after graduation. I personally learned so much from the instructors Lex Watson and Ron Haigler they were both awesome! They were both patient and showed a variety of examples  and actually handed out practice  samples to further engage the class. We were tested everyday, there were times I did not think I would fair well. However, with the continued encouragement and support I received I had the will to keep going even when I thought my head was going to explode. I appreciate instructors like Lex and Ron, although the way they teach differ, they both have a way that promotes learning.
Before the training I had moderate confidence from my experience from the mortgage industry. However, after the course my confidence is much stronger. I feel that I can not fail.  Because it is the difference in starting the day with a balanced meal or not. You may fair well for a while but not for long. This school is a balanced meal with extra, one will excel."

"I was a sales agent for a short time, and did not have the proper training. That’s why I was looking for more training to be more professional and have more confidence. The training I received has given me a new sense of confidence to go out into the field and succeed.
The employees at the College of Automotive management were very professional and they left a very good impression with me. The curriculum and instruction that I have received was very in depth and I feel that I got 100% of the material provided to me. With this training I feel very confident that I can perform and succeed in my future profession. The career I have chosen is Internet Sales Management because I have more knowledge on the internet now.
I would recommend this program to my friends. "

Hamilton John Nguyen

Graduation: March 2008

When I came to the College for an interview, I met with a Career Consultant and she was a very nice lady. She asked many questions to see if I was the right fit in this industry. If  I had any questions or concerns, I was very comfortable in talking with her about it. Everyone at the College was very courteous and pleasant. The receptionist was always very nice to me.

I had never had any automotive sales or management training in the past. However, it was very interesting. It was very pleasant to see that the class was not all lectures for the whole day. I enjoyed the interactive part of the classes. It kept me interested and busy.

The instructor was good about helping us master the material, he reminded us everyday.

I did not know anything about the automotive industry before this course. After the course I learned how the sales and internet department worked. I have received the proper training to succeed in these departments, and I feel confident that I will succeed in a career in the automotive industry.

Graduation: March 2008

"I do not have automotive sales experience, but I strongly understand the process of sales. I have worked in sales for a long period of time. I have dealt with companies and worked in the retail business. The College of Automotive management helped shape and expand my selling skills to a higher level. I feel confident enough to work at a professional company such as a dealership, bank, agency or private firm.
Charles was my career consultant, he provided me with a lot of information about the process of business and the job expectations at a dealership. He also showed a great deal of interest on my decision making for choosing CAM. He encouraged me to enroll in the courses for Management. The people at CAM, or the staff, stuck me with a good impression. They were friendly, professional and knowledgeable to my needs. My instructor Lexis Watson showed enthusiasm and excellence. He provided me and the class with useful insight about the automotive industry. He was professional, funny, courteous, and showed care, patience and concern for his students. I see that he really makes a compatible contribution to the College of Automotive Management.
The program contributed to my excellent and useful knowledge of business in the real world. In the past I have been self taught with experience and ability in sales. But the school, as I mentioned before, has truly enhanced my sales skills for progress and long term learning. Alexis Watson instructed me in a very professional manner. He shared his life experiences in the dealership environment and helped me to learn the different aspects of the business. He showed leadership and fairness to the students. He allowed each of us to feel comfortable in learning the material. He also showed an honest attitude and caring for the students.
The program to me was concise, useful, user friendly and most importantly useful for a life time. The terminology, examples, scripts, exercises about finance and the instructor interest are reliable and excellent.
My level of confidence is at 100%. I feel that I have learned about finances, selling and buying process of a vehicle in understanding the needs and wants of people, and how to effectively build relationships with people.
The program has changed my views about investing and saving money for the future, I feel positive and ready to work."

Would I recommend this course to others? Yes and No. Yes for those who are serious and No for those who aren’t."

I had experience in the Automotive Industry as a floor sales person and a closer. But watching the industry change, the rules and regulations rapidly changing I decided to upgrade my skill sets. The College of Automotive Management offers history background of the industry and in depth and extensive information on Leasing, F&I department overview, Internet procedures and how to write a business plan!
The courses are taught by industry insiders with many years of experience. They have seen everything and can answer any question. I received insight far beyond my experience, and I now understand how to better navigate in the industry. The testing encouraged me to study and the Instructors answered all of my questions with insight and experience.
I definitely feel more confident that I can excel in this industry because of the overview of dealerships. Prior to this everything outside sales was a mystery. Since I have taken this course I have improved on my time management skills, sales process for all products, prospecting for new customers and business plan overview.
I think this program is valuable because even though I worked in the industry, things have changed and in order to succeed and excel in management, I have to understand what the “frontline soldiers” are experiencing.
The program was a very comprehensive training and did exceed my expectations.

Graduation: March 2008

"I came to College of Automotive Management with knowledge of the industry, had been a service Advisor since 1985. My career counselor basically laid out my options for me to choose. I chose the Internet Sales Course. I felt the employees were very polite and friendly, and they helped me feel relaxed being here. The program has really been a refresher course for me, and Lex’s insight has been very helpful. It is always good to brush up on old skills and this was just the right way to do it. The course was very precise and thorough and now I have no fear of the sales process that I had 2 weeks ago.
The instructors always stressed practice, practice, practice. All presentations and materials received were direct to the point and no fooling around attitude which was very helpful.
As a service advisor my growth is limited but as a sales advisor my growth is greater. The car business has great potential, the sales part of the car business in my opinion has far greater room for position growth.
I feel that the program has very good curriculum, outstanding staff members who are not afraid to share experiences."

Daniel Ibarra

Graduation: February 2008

"I had no previous Automotive Sales experience when I decided to get training. I thought it was a good lesson plan. The way we take a test every morning of the material we learned the previous day was very helpful in keeping what I had learned fresh in my brain. When the Instructor would recite the scrip, they seemed well informed and confident, encouraging me to memorize the script. Before this training I was scared to talk to people about cars and the sales process, but now I’m real confident. I want to do sales because with this training I feel I could make a lot of money and gain the experience to become an owner of a dealership. This program is great because it has given me the confidence to sell to anyone and make big bucks!"

Christopher Bartlow

Graduation: February 2008

"I had no previous automotive sales or management experience, so I came into the program with a curiosity of the Internet Department so I took the 2 week course. The course is designed to be very intensive and it was well structured. The amount of insight and business knowledge obtained from Lex Watson, my instructor, was a great experience. The want to be successful and master this material was there from the start. The program and instructor made me want to have success even more.
Before my confidence level in myself was a little above average in regards to this business. Now I feel I have what it takes to produce high numbers to exceed expectations.
I feel confident in obtaining a sales position or internet sales consultant position, because I feel equipped with the necessary skills to be a top sales rep. I also feel very comfortable using the internet and maintain a database.
I want to thank CAM for this opportunity. I will use every resource given by CAM to be successful, and Lex was a BIG help."

"Well training was really good. I’ve learned a lot in a different industry. Well organized and it helped me to prepare myself to be a great employee. I feel that the curriculum is awesome with great information. My instructor was a very handy man, who prepares himself to feed us with good information in a program. He always try his best to teach us before the real thing. He helps us a lot.

Before I was wondering what is this going to be and what is it about. After all, I’ve gain a knowledge of things I’ve never knew before about dealerships. I want to become an awesome salesperson who deals with the customer with love and dignity. As I say in order to be the best I can be. Helping others to achieve their goal and want to make them happy.

I would want my friends to know that this is a great program. Training students to become better employees and have a great career will help students to be happy."

Pised Mam

Graduation: February 2008

"Given that it was only a two week course, the materials that were covered were explained thoroughly. If we didn’t understand something the instructor was excellent  in going into detail when asked about a particular topic. I would have to say I learned 100% of the material and the instructor would emphasize each day on how important it is to know the script. He wanted us to learn all the materials and would explain anything we didn’t understand. Again, he couldn’t stress enough on how important the script was.
I came into this class not knowing much about the automotive industry. I had friends in the industry so I wanted to check it out for myself. I must admit that I had little to no confidence at all that I can do sales. After two week, my views and confidence have changed. With the skills I have acquired, I feel I can do sales, Internet sales and have a small idea on how the F&I department works. I have been given the knowledge on how to respond to customer’s questions and how to use the internet to my advantage when it comes to vehicle sales. I already possess the ability to be courteous, respectful and listen. Now that I can answer with the proper response, I feel I can do this.
I respect the recommendations and suggestions my Career Consultant and Instructor have given to me. I do intend to follow the career path and become successful. I want to eventually become F&I Manager.
I would definitely recommend this program to my friends and anyone else I feel has the desire and motivation to work in Sales, I believe this is a great program and a great thing DSC is doing. I see no cons in trying out this program."

Dennis Eversole

Graduation: February 2008

"I had never had any Automotive Sales experience when I got into training from College of Automotive Management. I did however work 22 years in hearing aid sales and service. I have 10 years of Encyclopedia Britannia sales experience which I thought I could translate to the auto industry. I just needed specifics of automobile sales environment and processes.

The curriculum was very extensive, putting allot of knowledge crammed into a short space of time. I learned continually, studying this material as I transition into the auto sales environment. My instructor Lex projected a high level of enthusiasm for the auto sales process and a professional image.

My confidence after training is a little lower than I expected because my memorization skills are a bit slow and I am a little fuzzy on how to navigate through some of the software. I expect to be continuing to study and master this material for some time and will take advantage of the opportunity to repeat some of the class sessions in the near future, free of charge. The instructors encouraged me to master and learn 100% of the material. This is a guarantee that the college upholds.

In my new career I plan to start with line or showroom sales and gradually transition into internet sales as I become more familiar with the technology and dealer systems.

I would recommend this program to my friends because of the high quality and pertinent knowledge of the industry and I like the opportunity to re-visit any class if I feel a weakness in that area after working in the industry for a while. I enjoyed the class and I look forward to continued contact with the staff."

"It was a lot of work these 2 weeks, but I learned a lot. But I hope with the tools and books and everything else that the training has given me it will help me with my future in the automotive business.
My instructor was very knowledgeable about the material so he made it very easy to understand and I liked how he would bring his sense of humor with the materials. Lex gave his 100% teaching throughout the course. I hesitated at first starting the training because I had no previous automotive experience. But after the training I’m confident in walking to a dealership and know how to present myself in a professional manner, and I have knowledge of confidence in myself.
My career at this point will have to be an Internet consultant or manager but with experience I will Like to become a F&I Manager. I feel that as a woman in a F&I position it will motivate women customers to want to be behind that desk as well and make a decent amount of money. I just want to be fair and empower myself as a woman and as a person. I want to serve and please my customers as well as my manager.
I want to become successful and to become that, you need training as well as experience for the most part, you need to start from the bottom and work yourself to the top.
I would tell my friends about this program because it’s a career that can make you very successful with time and commitment from yourself. I would recommend anyone to come to the training. My experience here has been great. I’m a little nervous but in my opinion that’s good. I hope I find a career that I enjoy and will make me a lot of money. I’ve enjoyed being in class and having a bond with my classmates as well as my Instructor. I’m also glad to have met my wonderful recruiter Michelle Green and my counselor Raul. Thank you very much for everything."

"I was a security supervisor for over 6 years of up to 15 officers at one time. The decision to go back into sales, automotive sales in particular, was precipitated by a desire to increase my income. This was an excellent and highly rewarding experience. Ms. Lacey has been one of the most dynamic and encouraging people in my life to date, offering the utmost in help and guidance, especially in regards to the education financing process and instilling confidence that this is going to be a life transforming career option. Words cannot fully express the impact of positive influence she has manifested in me in such a short time.
Despite my high credit score, my debt ratio is too high to allow me the opportunity at this time to enroll for the full 5 week course. This simply means I will have to return to attend the remaining 3 weeks at a later date.
Every single person on staff are the most professional, polite and delightful people who offered assistance from the smallest to greatest matter with detail and an exceptional manner leaving an outstanding impression. The course is designed for success down to the last detail covering all areas and leaving nothing to chance. Past training I’ve received from other sources has been inadequate and at times contradictory and/or confusing, lacking the content and professionalism I have experienced here. The material presented has been parceled in a format and sequence that is easy to follow and understand with the emphasis that it has proven to be successful if followed as instructed. Again, I would have to state that the provided instruction has been proven to be successful if followed as presented.
If I were to describe my confidence level on a scale of one to ten, I would say the very beginning number was a seven and the ending number as a ten. The training obtained is invaluable in terms of placing one above the average applicant for a position in this profession. I have plans now to follow the recommended career path of my instructors and placement department and my commitment, desire and drive to achieve that which I have chosen to aspire to.
I would recommend this program to friends who want to get into this industry, if they truly desire to aspire to a career offering greater income and benefits than they’ve thus far achieved. This educational opportunity can provide them the option for success.
Lastly, I would like to offer grateful appreciation to Mr. Ron Haigler for going above and beyond in assisting me with my resume."

"My Career Counselor at the College of Automotive was very helpful and tried her best to guide me and she helped me plan for the future. I completed one week of sales training. She knew I needed to make money and she knew this was the best step for me to take before getting into a sales position, I had no experience in. She helped me obtain a student loan to cover my tuition for the school.
While in training, everybody at CAM was great. I loved the atmosphere and I had a great experience. Everything I was taught at CAM was very helpful. In fact I go over my notes or material that was provided once in a while. I thought the instructor was funny and made the material fun to learn.
Before I started the training I was 110 % sure I could go into sales and do it easily. Then I took the course and learned a lot. When I started working, it was a little harder than what I thought it was going to be. But I still feel 110 % confident I will be successful, but it is going to take me longer than what I thought.
I like sales but in the future I would like to move on to Internet or the F&I department.
I think that with some more training I would have the knowledge of bigger and better things. The more I know and I am successful with the more money I will make.
I would recommend this program to my friends because I think it’s a great opportunity and it will definitely be a great experience."

"Everyone needs to know the job before they try to do it. This course gives you all the information you need in a short period of time so you can get out and start earning money. The depth of the material gave me a good understanding of the inner workings of a dealership so I know what to do as well as what not to do. Before this training at The College of Automotive Management my confidence level was very low, now I possess enough knowledge about selling and the working of a dealership to get me started. The instructors made sure I understood the material by quizzing and testing and providing real world examples to make it easier to absorb."

The Curriculum is very in depth and extremely detailed. I learned a lot more information than I expected to receive.  The instructors encouraged us and stressed the importance of knowing 100% of the material by knowing all of this information it would better prepare us in our new career and overcome obstacles and setbacks and help achieve the highest level of success possible.  Prior to training at The College of Automotive Management I did not have the experience or knowledge to be successful in the automotive industry, but now I know I have the skills to build a productive and successful career in the automotive industry….Thank you CAM.  I feel that the training I attended will help me be successful as a salesperson or Internet salesperson/manager. The curriculum gave me a strong foundation to build a strong career in the field of automotive sales and management.  I will definitely take the advice and guidance of the career development department because they know the industry and they can guide me to be more successful.  I would definitely recommend this program; I feel that the curriculum will prepare any student who puts the time and effort into learning and excelling in the automotive industry.

"Before coming to The College of Automotive Management, I had sold cars for a brief period of time. The information presented gave me a better understanding of the overall flow of the dealership, the financing, and relationships between employees as well as the chain of command. I now understand clearly leasing which had been guarded information at the dealership. Before attending The College of Automotive Management my confidence level was somewhat OK but now I am very sure of my skills and abilities. I learned a lot in a short time and am looking forward to returning to take Weeks 3, 4, 5 so I can become a desk manager and eventually a GM. I think I saved myself 3 to 5 years in my career path."

"The curriculum is deep, but easy to remember.  I encouraged myself to learn all the material, but my instructor gave me the help I needed. I would say my confidence level for selling increased more than three times after graduating.  I feel confident now in obtaining an internet sales position, I know the internet and I believe that in about 5 years everything will be done online.”

Graduation: December 2006

"I first learned about The College of Automotive Management about 18 months ago.  At the time I had no intention of entering the automotive business and didn’t really know a lot about it other than from the standpoint of a consumer.  Over the course of the next year some things didn’t work out like I had hoped in a business venture and I came back to giving The College of Automotive Management a second look.  The more I talked with others about it and the more stories I heard about graduates’ success, I decided to go for it.  I was ready to change the situation I was in, struggling month to month to pay my bills.

I moved out to California to attend The College of Automotive Management.  Walking into it I was intimidated by the fact that I had no prior knowledge of how the car business worked.  All of that was taken away the first day of class.  After that I dove in head first and enjoyed all 5 weeks of the course.  The staff and instructors are so helpful and you can tell that they truly want you to succeed in the world of automotive management.  After the course was over I felt like I had a strong grasp on the dealership picture as a whole.  Not just the intellectual properties but also the how and why of all of the things we learned through the curriculum.  I was ready to interview with confidence, using the skills we were taught, and start a new career!"

Sherene Silva

Graduation: July 2007

“The course is rather intense. We covered in two weeks with more detail than I did in four years at my college. Before I came to The College of Automotive Management I was unsure of my self and The College of Automotive Management but now I would recommend it to others. With the help of my instructor and friends I made here I feel that this is a chance of a lifetime. This is valuable not just for the wallet but also for understanding life.”

“The instructors were fantastic. Because of their industry experience, I was able to get a much better insight into the business. I have never been in the automotive industry, but now after the 5 week program at The College of Automotive Management and the skills I learned, I feel confident that I am competitive to others in the industry and probably know more than people who have been in the industry for years.  Because of the skills I learned, I feel that I could obtain a management position within the dealership.  I would strongly recommend this program to anyone already working in the industry or those who are considering the automotive industry, because you learn skills that aren't typically taught at the dealership or anywhere else.”

-Hadassa

Graduation: April 2007

“I did not have any automotive sales experience but after being at The College of Automotive Management for two weeks, I feel as if I have worked in a dealership for years. The instructors have been in the business for over 20 years and are very knowledgeable. They are patient and will walk you through the curriculum. This is a very good experience for someone who wants to make more money and start their career.”

Graduation: June 2007

"At first, I didn't know anything about the automotive industry before I enrolled at The College of Automotive Management.  I thought this program was just a piece of paper you received.  But then I was overwhelmed with what there was to learn.  I learned how to speak the language and understand the skills and concepts of the automotive industry.  It gives me such an edge compared to coming into the industry on my own.  I actually tried to enter the automotive industry before The College because I saw dealer advertisements and thought my background in Sales and Lending would prepare me.  They wouldn't hire me off the street.  But now I feel prepared to get a Sales position or even an Internet Sales position.  The instructors and the staff were awesome, they spent a lot of time with me.  I was scared at first.  The school asks you to learn 100% of the material, which I thought would be tough.  To be honest, at first I wanted to give up, but everyone stuck with me and believed in me, and now I have graduated with great skills.  I think it was a great investment."

"This course is unbelievable! So many things to learn and so much information provided. The curriculum is so in depth that I never would have had a clue and never known all that was required for F&I. Once I was introduced to the auto business by The College of Automotive Management I wanted to learn everything and all the success stories really helped you focus and hope that some day I will be back giving a success story of my own. Before attending The College of Automotive Management I felt hopeless, like I wouldn't stand a chance, but now I feel I could handle and run any department in a dealership. Prior to attending The College of Automotive Management I was active in the real estate, but now I feel confident in obtaining a position in the auto business. I intend to follow the career path recommended to me. This is a whole new ball game, but I love the challenge. I love selling cars and don't see a problem with selling them or financing them. My experience here was great! It was a little bit scary at first, investing in myself for this career path, but now I see it might have been one of the best investments that I have ever made in my life. Thank you for everything!"

I came to The College of Automotive Management to acquire the sills I will need to be successful in the Finance office. The College of Automotive Management gave me all the necessary tools I feel will help me go out, get a job, and make the income I'm looking to make. "All of the elements of the curriculum were extremely informative, with a great focus on the many aspects of Internet Sales. It was well written, clear, and provided more information that what I can assimilate in two weeks. It is evident to me that there is a need for good Internet Sales Managers in the auto industry. The program and instructors have not only given us instruction, but have mentored us, assuring that we can be successful if we learn the material 100% and reference it while in the workplace. I was apprehensive initially because this is a career path that I have never pursued before. The College of Automotive Management has helped me realize that I can do the job and be successful. I now feel confident in working in the Internet Sales field. I believe I have the temperament and personality for Internet Sales."

“I have been a sales representative for almost 5 years and the training from The College of Automotive Management is superior to any prior training I have ever received. I feel that the curriculum is well organized. The instructors are all extremely knowledgeable and encouraging. “The training I received from The College of Automotive Management was in-depth and allows a better understanding of the sales process. It covered a complete overview of this field, as well as knowledgeable instruction from professionals. The Instructors constantly went over the material, especially what was important for the exams and exercises. I wasn't very confident in my abilities to learn and apply all the knowledge provided by The College of Automotive Management, but after completing the course I feel very confident in my abilities and skills. Any and all careers in the automotive industry are now open to me because I feel I can do anything if given the chance. They gave us sample scenarios to practice real world problems. Before The College of Automotive Management I was questioning my confidence, now I feel like I can obtain any position I put my mind to! The knowledge and training provided was great. In addition, the relationship built between the students and the staff is priceless.”

Gloria V. Gonzalez

Graduation: June 2007

“The training was intense! The curriculum covered a lot of material in a short period of time. Now I see why my recruiter said this is not for everyone. My instructor, Lex is awesome! He is smart, witty, energetic, and patient. If a student doesn't understand the material, he will go over it as many times as he needs to. He is very dedicated to his students.

Prior to the training, I had absolutely no knowledge of the automotive business. I now believe that I will become successful with the tools and training that was provided to me. I am now confident that I will become successful in the automotive industry. Ultimately, my #1 choice would be to start up in finance. However, I know I should be humble and patient and perform other jobs within a dealership in order to obtain my goal and end up in F&I. I enjoy paperwork and helping people fulfill their dreams of getting a vehicle. I've attended various trade schools throughout my life and I also attended college. This particular program, in my opinion, is well organized and taught at a speed that is challenging but doable.  I would just like to add that since the minute I walked in this building, I felt comfortable. The employees that work here like Chris, Donna, Lisa, Becky, and just about everyone, have been sincerely helpful and nice, not fake. Throughout my classes, I received e-mails from Chris that were so encouraging and got me through some hard times. Also all the students in class brought something unique as individuals. At this point we are like brothers and sisters and Lex is our dad. I'm really going to miss everyone here. This has been one of the best and most challenging things I have accomplished.”

“I have a Wholesale Dealer License but I would rather work for someone else's dealership. I have had classes in the legal proceedings of a dealership but none in management. I feel like the course was very much worth my time. The fact that it was so in depth made me feel ready to approach a dealership knowing I have what it takes. The instructors always encouraged us by having us study and learn the material before the tests. If it wasn't right the first time we had to do it over to learn 100% of the material.  This way, we would be proficient in all the skills The College of Automotive Management had to offer. Before the course I only had a brief overview of dealer operations. Now I am confidant that I have what it takes to get whatever job I desire in the industry. I want to be in sales at a dealership because before I knew a lot physically about every car, now I have the techniques to sell almost any automotive product. Most of my friends are making $15 and hour and working full time, so I would recommend The College of Automotive Management to them because I only want the best for my friends.”

I feel well prepared to land a sales, internet, or finance position. I would recommend this program to any of my friends because it offers a vast amount of information and provides excellent training, allowing for someone with no prior experience to excel in the automotive industry.”

Before attending The College of Automotive Management, I was nervous but determined. After completing the course I am armed with information and confidence and definitely feel confident in obtaining a sales or finance position. I really enjoyed the Special Finance module. Peter Matthieu

Graduation: April 2006

"I attended The College of Automotive Management for the simple fact that I needed a career change. And one that offered enough income that could support my family. At the time, we had a 3-year old daughter and both my wife and I wanted her to grow up with one parent at home. I saw an ad in the California Job Journal for the school with the potential incomes posted for Finance Managers. I thought that is the type of income I needed that would provide for my family the way we were planning our life (and our daughter's life). I went to an orientation and liked what I heard and signed up to attend the college the very next day. I would highly, highly, highly recommend The College of Automotive Management for anyone remotely considering a career in Finance. We have a couple of guys working here in Finance that did not have any professional training (taken off the sales floor). And it shows in their paperwork (The College of Automotive Management taught me that you are indeed judges by how you submit your paperwork to the Business Office, and these guys get hammered for sloppiness). The final exam of the video presentation I thought was intimidating when I first heard about it, but as I look back it is indeed necessary to prepare anyone for the finance office that he or she will work in every day.

Anyone attending The College of Automotive Management should take their schooling very seriously.  After all, most of us had to pay for it! But not only that, it's what the student will take with him or her in doing the job everyday that is embedded in my mind of what to say for which document and what not to say. I could not imagine coming into the finance office as a finance manager "cold turkey" without knowing what is expected not only of the job, but what the GM and owners expect as well. The training The College of Automotive Management provides is thorough and well thought out in its curriculum. The teachers I had are excellent coaches in preparing students for the "real world of automotive finance." Each one presented real-life examples of when they were running dealerships/finance departments and I could always get my questions answered with real-life results."

-Peter

“I feel that this curriculum was in-depth, highly detailed, and informative. The instructors were great at not coddling us. They helped us not to be reliant on being given the answers but on figuring it out and understanding the concepts on our own. I am more confident now that I have the knowledge of the operations and calculations relating to finance, leasing, and legal compliance. I am confident that I can obtain a corporate sales, internet/fleet sales or even subprime finance position. I feel the knowledge I have gained is invaluable. “Having no previous auto experience, I feel that the curriculum and instruction of the class is very informative. This has helped me understand what goes on in the arena of the car buying market and become an ethical sales person. The program and instructors want us, as students, to know the material by repeating the scripts and role playing. My level of confidence in the beginning was very questionable, but now it has increased due to the practice of the skills needed to be a quality salesperson. I feel confident now in obtaining a sales or internet position in any dealership because The College of Automotive Management has armed me with the curriculum and knowledge to perform my job the right and ethical way. “At first I wasn’t sure if it was possible to learn the amount of information that was expressed to me in 5 weeks. Lo and behold, here I am 5 weeks later and my own family is wide eyed and their jaws drop every time I open my mouth and explain what we did that day. I have never had so much information piled into my head before in such a short amount of time. The good thing is it all stuck! Lex, my instructor, was very good at getting you to understand the material at a level that you could relate to. I could really feel through the whole course that he really wanted us to succeed. We weren’t just another class and another paycheck to him. Before I came to The College of Automotive Management, I was limited in my knowledge of the automotive business. If I were to get a job before taking this class, it would have taken me years to learn what I was taught in just 5 weeks. I feel very confident and I am sure if I was put in a job today I could nail it. Not only has this course taught us about automotive, but it has prepared us for making any financial decision. I feel I could thrive in any business involving finance and sales. I know how to treat a customer and build rapport. I can deal with people over the phone, by email as well as in person. The great thing is I learned this whole process the right way. Thank you for all your encouragement and the opportunity of a lifetime.”

"The curriculum at The College of Automotive Management is concise and complete. Having zero experience in the automotive industry, I feel that I will be able to enter the auto world, not just with an understanding but with an advantage. The knowledge and practice to do my job have been provided perfectly. My instructor was an incredible educator. He cared wholeheartedly about the success of his students. He was able to accomplish 100% buy-in to the program which made me want to learn everything I could and succeed with 100% understanding. I have always been able to relate to people and identify their needs. Now I know how to funnel that ability into the F&I office, helping people find the correct finance options with benefits that will help them. I truly appreciate the personal interest everyone has taken in my success. That is what makes this institution a place full of educators and not just an institution of instructors. Anyone can teach but few can educate...The people here are true educators. Thank you for that!"

“I found the curriculum to be fairly thorough from the perspective of a person with no prior automotive experience. I was impressed by the instructor’s knowledge and experience and through their encouragement I felt that I too could gain mastery of the material. In the beginning of my training I was unsure and skeptical because this is a totally new industry to me, but after completing the course I feel I have a greater understanding of the automotive industry. I now feel confident that I can become a finance manager and would succeed in any position within the dealership. “

“I have sold cars for approximately 3 years prior to attending The College of Automotive Management. I wanted to start back into the auto industry with a clean slate and get rid of any bad habits I may have had. The College of Automotive Management helped me see things in a different way. The instructors kept us practicing and any problems that that arose were addressed individually. I was nervous about getting back into car sales but now I have very high confidence about the future. I believe now I have the skills to obtain a position as an Internet Manager, and then maybe move into the Finance Dept. This is a great all around class with very knowledgeable instructors. I know I will be successful! “

“The curriculum and instruction I’ve received can not only take me far in the automotive industry but other fields as well. The instructors have taken and applied the knowledge that I have been learning. I trust the instructors because they’re experienced. I didn’t join the course because I knew everything, I need wise guidance.

My confidence level before training was a little shaky to an extent. I had already made up my mind that I wanted a career to set up a foundation for my future family, choosing the right way was my worry. Since the training I’m more excited and confident about what I am capable of. I feel confident in obtaining and succeeding in automotive sales, internet sales and anything else that involves sales and management.

I don’t feel that I will regret taking this informative course. It is always good to learn. I need to apply what I’ve learned. I pray that I perform as confidently as I feel.”

“The two week course gave me a detailed understanding about what goes on in a dealership. I understand the process required in selling a vehicle or leasing one. I also have a better understanding of the importance of the Internet. The instructor made us memorize by giving us time to role play as if we were going through the process. We needed to memorize the script so that we could participate. I definitely feel confident now because I know the detailed steps to sales. I am comfortable calculating data and using the different computer programs found in a dealership. I feel that I have acquired a significant amount of information. Simply because of the knowledge I acquired, I feel confident obtaining any position in sales and Internet Management. The course was very informative and hands on. My Career Counselor had a better understanding of my skills and what I can do.”

“Most of us are seeking employment, therefore we realize the importance now of staying on track with the scripts. The instructor emphasized the importance of knowing 100% of the material. I agreed that it would be hard to do the job properly without it. I realize that I need to practice what I’ve been taught and have some success in sales prior to moving forward. Before attending the course my confidence level was 50% after it is 93%. I want to take some time to acclimate myself to the new industry. I have management experience, I just need to learn the auto industry and how dealerships do business then I’ll be ready to move forward to management.  If someone applies themselves and has the desire and drive to be successful they can benefit from the training. I would love to take the next course after this one.”

“I have worked for Disneyland and several other companies and I really like working in sales. The College of Automotive Management helped me realize that there are always good opportunities in sales. The information the instructors gave was good, a bit overwhelming at times but good. I plan to come back and learn more. I was scared since I hadn’t been in school for several years but the instructors made me feel very comfortable and welcomed. I know that I will succeed in sales and hopefully become a general manager one of these days. I would like to say that I think the whole staff is incredible and keep doing what you are doing. Good job!”

“The course was very enlightening. I learned very much and feel prepared to go out and sell some cars. The instructor cared very much, he would make me look at what I missed and why. This enabled me to see where my weaknesses were allowing me to learn 100% of the material. I was not sure of the car business at first but now I feel like I could definitely do this. I am interested in sales and Internet sales. I learned how to speak to potential customers and make him a buyer. I also learned how Internet sales go and feel confident enough to do the job. The course was entertaining and met my expectations.”

“The instruction provided a complete overview of the automotive business at the dealership level and the definitions and terminology of the automotive business. The instructor encouraged us throughout the 2 weeks of training and pushed us to do better every time. Before the training I had no confidence or experience at all. But after the training, I believe I have enough confidence and training to start right away on the sales floor. I believe I would be comfortable and confident doing car sales. It is a great training program and it prepares you in every aspect of the automobile business. This is a perfect program for anyone that had no experience in the automotive business. It helped me in many different ways and Eric, my instructor, gave me all the courage that I need.”

“This type of training is different from school study and restaurant management. The courses are more practical and have real world use outside of the automobile industry. The depth of the course material is comprehensive and the instruction is motivational. The course covers the industry well for someone without first hand knowledge. The most imperative motivation came through testing. As a student we have to care about our position. Before training the field was mysterious and I was insecure but after the fourth or fifth day my confidence was building. I am sure I can get a sales position with Internet  as my short term goal. This course is good at building confidence in the automotive field and has realistic goals in mind for the students.”

“I believe that the depth of what I have received from the curriculum is incredible! Being able to go through the deals and learn the Internet sales as well has made me feel more confident in this new career path that I am taking. I never thought that  I would be able to say I know how to finish and close a deal before my friend who as been working in the industry for 2 months. Being able to review by oneself and with the class helped me so much as a student because I need to hear the material not only read it. When I came to The College of Automotive Management I was confident but not as confident as I am right now. I can make the money I wish, if I put all of my skills to work. Because they trained us thoroughly how to handle all situations, I feel confident in obtaining a position in sales and Internet. I tried other career paths but no other school has stood behind their student like this one has. I would do this again if I had to. Going back in time, I wish I would have done it sooner. The 2 weeks that I spent here really changed my life and I hope The College of Automotive Management will continue to change others.”

Before I attended The College of Automotive Management, I had no previous training in the automotive field but after this well prepared informative training, I believe that I’ll do very well as an Internet Sales Manager. I would like to come back and complete the F&I portion so I could fulfill the full breadth of the training. My goal is to work in the F&I Department. I would recommend this program to my friends and others because they can learn so much and The College of Automotive Management is so well prepared with information that you can’t get anywhere else.”

“The College of Automotive Management provides a curriculum that covers a wide spectrum of information. There are a lot of new definitions and grammar to learn. The instructors have great skill and provide us with good communication for sales. I was confident before attending The College of Automotive Management but I am more confident for car sales and my future goals and I am thankful for that. Even though I have my own mind and know what I want from life, I trust your knowledge and skills and I will trust your recommendations with my future career. I would recommend this course to my friends because you can obtain skills here that you cannot get anywhere else. I had a really good time and learned very much.”

I am 100% more confident than I was before I started the training at The College of Automotive Management. Because good training is important in any industry, I know I will succeed in sales based on the training I received here. After I return for my other 3 weeks training, I will also succeed in F&I. I am very impressed with the training I received from The College of Automotive Management and would recommend it to my friends.”

“The instructor did very well. The depth of the course was excellent especially in Week 4 when we went over subprime. The instructor presented the material in a professional but fun manner. This made the class more interesting and the material easier to learn. Although I was confident that I would do well in this industry, after taking the training at The College of Automotive Management I am far more confident in my abilities to excel in this industry. I am sure that I will be able to successfully work as an F&I Manager. If any of my friends or relatives were interested in the automobile business I would definitely recommend The College of Automotive Management.”

“Although I had over 8 years of management experience in the car rental industry, I knew nothing about cars before attending The College of Automotive Management. One day I was talking to my uncle, who owns a dealership, and he asked how I learned so much about the car business in such a short period of time! Lex, my instructor is one of the best I have ever had. He knows when to switch from book knowledge to real world dealership jargon and taught us how to use it and what to expect. He prepared us mentally for the challenges of the dealership by telling and showing us what makes a great salesman. All the information is broken up into concise outlines and chapters to cover one day at time. Like building blocks the information starts out very basic and over time becomes more complex. You never notice the complexity because you have been taken from one small step to another. I am excited about the investment I made in myself. The other students you associate with also provide knowledge about their fields. We had 2 mortgage people in our class who helped me save thousands of dollars on an investment property I bought with my dad. I have several interesting options available to me now: Internet car sales, F&I Manager and high volume used cars sales. The word tracts The College of Automotive Management has provided to me make me confident that I can become a great salesman! No other career offers these opportunities.”

“The curriculum has provided me with a solid foundation as a stepping stone into a career that I would never have thought of being in. Financing always scared me until I came to The College of Automotive Management. My instructor, Lex, made the class fun and mirror the real world. He made me understand that not every customer is a nice customer. He put positive pressure on me every day to build my confidence up. In the five weeks a lot of information was presented to me and I was able to understand the material. I will be able to apply the knowledge because I was taught by great instructors. Because of the knowledge I received at The College of Automotive Management, I am confident in obtaining a career in Finance, Internet Sales and even General Sales Manager with my new skills. The College of Automotive Management is designed to help people gain real world knowledge in an environment where mistakes can be made without going to jail. I would recommend this to my friends who are looking for a career change. I felt welcomed every day I went to class.”

“The curriculum was very specific in targeting what I am told is a superior method of selling. We were told that if we implement what we learned correctly, we have the chance of making good money. Even though there are no guarantees, I feel that now I have a better chance of making good money. Before attending The College of Automotive Management I had never sold anything nor had any idea of I was capable of it, now I feel that I have the skill set needed to give it a good run. I need a career that is relatively stable and allows me t work wherever I may end up. If my friends were interested in a career in the car business I definitely would send them to The College of Automotive Management.”

“The material and instruction was excellent! The instructor was no nonsense and I appreciated that. He stressed that by constantly working on scripts we could be perfect. Before attending The College of Automotive Management I was not sure what to expect but now I feel that I am ready. The material presented was extensive and I know that I will have to keep studying, but I feel it will be worth it. I am sure that the placement department will be as helpful in guiding me along my career path as the instructors were in evaluating my performance. I really don’t want to recommend The College of Automotive Management to anyone because I don’t want any competition, I don’t want anyone to know this but me!!”

“I had been in the car business as a salesperson for a year and as a floor manager/closer for 1 year 9 months before coming to The College of Automotive Management. I wanted to gain more knowledge and move up in the business. At a dealership there is very little training but at The College of Automotive Management it is very intense covering everything from sales to sales management. The curriculum had lots of good points and was very deep. The instructor was on top of us to get 100% of the material correct. It seemed like he really did care! My confidence level was good before coming to The College of Automotive Management but now I am extremely confident. I want to get to the top and be the General Manager of a store. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to double their income. I am extremely happy and can’t wait to get started!!”

Graduation: July 2007

“I came to The College of Automotive Management after being in the car business for 8 years. I have worked as a detailer, used car buyer, salesperson and F&I Manager. The curriculum covered in depth the right way to sell cars and how to hold better gross. It taught me the legal way to conduct business. The training went far beyond words and training I have had before. The course covers the perfect subjects. It doesn’t go into the things that don’t need to be covered and that gives more time to discuss the ones that are important. It was awesome how the instructors encouraged us to master the material – I would have it no other way!! I now feel immediately confident in my ability to obtaining any position that I want all the way to General Sales Manager. This is because I have the skills and tools to be confident in interviews and the knowledge of how to apply those skills. I am looking forward to  guidance and assistance from the professional placement department, they know what’s best, it’s their job. I have already recommended The College of Automotive Management to several of my friends.”

“I think the curriculum is a great way to learn to sell cars. The instructors did a very good job of communicating with the class and motivating us to learn. I did not know how to sell a vehicle but the course improved the way to communicate through the Internet as well as a real life way when the customer comes in to look at eh vehicle. I think that this new education is going to jumpstart my new career in retail sales. I intend to follow the direction of the placement department since they know the best course to take based on your level of achievement. I would recommend The College of Automotive Management because it is a way of becoming an expert in a field that many people would not think makes enough money, but it does.”

“As a Professor at Azusa Pacific College, I was quite impressed with both the breadth and depth of the curriculum at The College of Automotive Management. Frankly, the quality of the material and the instructors exceeded my expectations. I have learned more than I expected to learn. My Career Consultant, Charlie, told me that the students were expected to score 100% on all tests. The fact that we could retake the tests until we achieved 100% was evidence that The College of Automotive Management wanted us to master 100% of the material. Before the training started, I had some lingering doubts about my ability to sell cars. Now that I have been trained, I am confident that I can be a successful salesperson. I noticed during our Internet research that many Internet salespeople are not very competent. I now know that I can perform better than most of them. The quality of the curriculum and instruction is very high. I also like the fact that The College of Automotive Management offers placement assistance. I believe that my training from The College of Automotive Management (and eventual AFIP Certification) will allow me to succeed in F&I.”

“I was concerned about whether I would learn enough in 5 weeks. I am no longer concerned. This program, at The College of Automotive Management, took many of the finer points of the best sales training and combined it into one. I am a former member of the armed forces and served in Kuwait and have worked for 14 years in the credit industry as a mortgage manager and corporate trainer Lex Watson is an incredible trainer. I do not remember seeing anyone present information better than him.  After completing Week 2 I knew I will be extremely successful. I have already impressed several dealers and Sales Mangers and I will learn even more once I am at my dealership. There is an amazing opportunity in Internet sales that is going largely ignored.  I have recommended The College of Automotive Management to many of my colleagues from the mortgage industry. I want to thank everyone at The College of Automotive Management for the time and effort it took to put this program together. I was stuck in a failing industry. I now feel I will reach the level of success I enjoyed in the past. So thank you all!”

There was no lack of material to study. Lex, my instructor, did a great job helping us master the material. I had little confidence coming into this course but now I have much more since completing the course. I am looking forward to an internship leading to F&I. The internship program would give me more knowledge from the dealership standpoint. I would recommend this course at The College of Automotive Management to anyone not only wanting to get started in the automotive industry but for everyday knowledge.

“I think the curriculum was very in depth and the instructors were excellent. Lex and Ron, my instructors, answered 100% of my questions to my satisfaction. Without their help this course would have been impossible to complete. I am a very confident person, I am a college graduate and played professional football, but I had no experience in the auto industry. Now that the class is over I understand the industry and am confident I will do well. With the skills I have obtained I feel I would be comfortable in any career dealing with finance. If you chose to take these classes and do well your new career will pay for these classes. You are obtaining more knowledge to make a lot of money. I feel fortunate to have been found by Mr. Charlie Benedict, my Career Counselor, This is exactly the career path I’ve always wanted to be on. I feel like I am part of a team here and everyone is working towards a common goal.”

“The management training offered by The College of Automotive Management is detailed and provides and excellent knowledge tools for someone who has never had automotive sales and management experience. The depth of the curriculum and instruction provided was excellent, calculations and legal compliance are particularly informative. The instructor has shown dedication and firmness yet a great support for the students learning of the subject matter to ultimately obtain 100% understanding and awareness of the automotive industry. I now feel confident to seek employment in the automotive industry. It’s a training of al lifetime that opens up a new door of opportunity for someone who is looking for a rewarding career. It’s definitely not a boring class, the instructor keeps the students on their toes at all times. I particularly like the way the course is broken up into modules, it helps us focus on the subject matter for the week.”
