Some have been shortened meaning; not the whole message received by the testimony writer is displayed, when it seemed lengthy or not the whole text seemed relevant for the general public. These are testimonials actually received. They are individual experiences by persons who have used our services in some way or other. The College makes no claims regarding starting salaries, graduate incomes or job availabilities for any position.  Many College graduates and employers have provided the College with their own statements about their experiences in the industries we represent after graduating from the College. Many of these positions were obtained with the help of our Career Development Department and employer contacts within the industries we represent. “This is not an implied or expressed claim of what all of our graduates earn. Individual results may vary and be higher or lower than these figures”.  The terms "current occupation" and "current income" as used below apply to the date each testimonial was provided by the graduate to the College and may or may not be their current occupation or income level at this time.  Also, the College assumes that in many cases the graduate is providing general figures or income levels rounded off for discussion purposes and the income levels reported, before or after College training, should not be interpreted as EXACT amounts earned monthly since many of the positions listed below, before or after CAM training, are commission based and total incomes could vary from month to month.

Alee Rodriguez

Previous Occupation: Receptionist

Previous Income: $2,080 per month

Current Occupation: Finance Manager

Current Income: $9,000 per month

“My story is kind of a unique one. I actually became interested in The College of Automotive Management because I was working as the receptionist for the school. I had just obtained my Bachelor’s degree from DeVry University and was entering into a very compacted job market. I worked for the College for a little less than a year before I decided to go through the program. I decided that I wanted to become a Finance Manager due to the success stories I was hearing and seeing from other graduates and that it seemed that everyone was getting higher paying jobs with less traditional education than me. After I graduated I worked very briefly as a Sales Representative before accepting a position as the Special Finance/Internet Manager at a Used Car Dealership, specializing in hi-line vehicles. I learned how to combine my special finance training and internet management training to where I am now making 9K a month! I am currently preparing to buy a house here in California and I am only 22.”

Luc Matthews

Previous Occupation: Asst. Sales Manager

Previous Income: $3,000 per month

Current Occupation: General Sales Manager

Current Income: $11,000 per month

“I was working as a Floor Manager for a Nissan dealership and I was surfing on the Internet in Pennsylvania when I came upon The College of Automotive Management’s website. When I read that they train for career opportunities in the automotive industry for managerial positions, they had me. I came to The College of Automotive Management and discovered a new world in the way of education. I have a Master’s Degree and I am sorry to say that it doesn’t even compare to what I received from The College of Automotive Management. Three months after I graduated, I returned to sales and a little after three months I was promoted to General Sales Manager! I even set up our dealership’s Special Finance Department! My income quadrupled overnight! I had to go a long way to receive this education, the other side of the United States, but it was well worth it!”

Darius Tavoli

Previous Occupation: Automobile Sales Consultant/Closer

Previous Income: $3,000 per month

Current Occupation: Finance Director

Current Income: $12,000 per month

“I was a student from USC and I wanted to go into an industry that would best benefit and fulfill my needs. I felt that the automotive industry was the best fit as there seemed to be no cap on the amount of money you could be making. When I came to The College of Automotive Management I knew little of finance, after I left, I knew all the aspects of how the department worked and had the necessary tools that would help to make me a success. I was hired on as a Finance Manager for a small dealership in Orange County and now work as the Finance Director for a Dealership in Garden Grove”.

Ingrid Wyman

Previous Occupation: Investment Management

Current Occupation: Loan Officer

“I have a Bachelors degree in Management and worked in the Investment Management sector of the Financial Industry for 25yrs. The company I worked for was in Irvine and I had been commuting from San Diego for the last 10 years. I no longer wanted to do the commute because it was wearing on me and I also have 2 small children. There are not many Investment Management companies located in San Diego; therefore, I knew I needed to make a change. I found out about The College of Automotive Management from a free publication for job seekers in San Diego.  I decided to do the five week program since I had so much Investment Management experience that would translate into a finance management position.  The automotive industry was very interesting to me but I knew dealership hours probably wouldn’t work for me because my husband works weekends and I would need to be home for my children. However, the lending and mortgage industry was very appealing to me and The College of Automotive Management’s curriculum was geared to cover extensive information that would be very helpful as a loan officer. I am currently working as a loan officer for a small company in Carlsbad. My commute is short, I work Monday through Thursday, I am close to my kids, I love the company and I love my job. What more can I say! I feel the education I received from The College of Automotive Management provided me with an outstanding foundation for success in my new career. Many thanks to the entire faculty and especially my instructors for all the support and guidance they have given me.”

Priscilla Lamar

Previous Occupation: Accounting

Current Occupation: Senior Loan Processor

"I have a degree in Accounting and an MBA. When I relocated to California I wanted a change in careers. I explored several options for training and discovered the College of Automotive Management. The College of Automotive Management gave me all of the education that they promised and the instructor was very helpful and knowledgeable. The courses that I took taught me about reading and analyzing credit reports and were especially helpful understanding sub-prime loans.  This new knowledge helped me to land a senior loan processor position in a large bank within a few weeks after graduation. I am now working for a commercial banker in Carlsbad. The knowledge I gained at The College of Automotive Management helped me to prepare for these jobs."

James Gleason

Previous Occupation: Sales and Marketing

Previous Income: $7,200 per month

Current Occupation: F&I Manager

Current Income: $7,000 - $10,000 per month

I was in sales and marketing for 8 years before attending The College of Automotive Management. I have a Masters Degree and was earning over $80,000 a year. My wife and I wanted more income to help support our family and we decided that attending The College of Automotive Management would give me a head start in the lucrative automobile industry. I really wanted to go straight to work in F&I and skip over sales. I found out that it takes determination on my part and assistance from The College of Automotive Management placement staff to achieve that career goal.

I now am a Finance Manger at Santa Monica BMW! I have a base salary and I also earn commission on products and services that I sell in F&I. I sold products in my first transaction and have kept going from there. I know how to deal with lease customers, who make up a large portion of highline customers, as well as finance and cash buyers. The owner of the store has been impressed with my performance so far and even made a point to compliment me on my ability to sell products.

I will be forever grateful to The College of Automotive Management for the education and confidence that you gave me. Look for my card to be placed on the “Wall of Fame”. I will stop by and show you my graduation present to myself: a new BMW!!
