Graduates With Previous Industry Sales Experience Who Sold Cars Successfully After Training at The College The College makes no claims regarding starting salaries, graduate incomes or job availabilities for any position. Many College graduates and employers have provided the College with their own statements about their experiences in the industries we represent after graduating from the College. Many of these positions were obtained with the help of our Career Development Department and employer contacts within the industries we represent. “This is not an implied or expressed claim of what all of our graduates earn. Individual results may vary and be higher or lower than these figures”. The terms "current occupation" and "current income" as used below apply to the date each testimonial was provided by the graduate to the College and may or may not be their current occupation or income level at this time. Also, the College assumes that in many cases the graduate is providing general figures or income levels rounded off for discussion purposes and the income levels reported, before or after College training, should not be interpreted as EXACT amounts earned monthly since many of the positions listed below, before or after CAM training, are commission based and total incomes could vary from month to month.
Fernando Conner Previous Occupation: Sales Representative Current Occupation: Special Finance Manager "As you all know I was working in the special fianance department part time while attending training. I am now back to work full time and I notice a big change. I notice a lot more now. I am able to complete all of my deals without anyone else helping me. I feel like before training I was driving blind on the road to success. I now have my blind fold off and feel so much more confident in myself. My deals are so much more complete then before." -Fernando Special Finance Manager
George Davis Previous Occupation: Sales Representative Current Occupation: Sales Consultant
“I had sold cars before coming The College of Automotive Management but I didn’t have a real understanding of what I was supposed to be doing. Unfortunately there are quite a few of us in this industry who have this problem. Many of us are thrown into the mix and told to just “sell”. After the first day of training I could already point out what I had been doing wrong and couldn’t believe how much I knew after 4 weeks. After graduating I took a position at a commercial truck sales dealership working as a straight sales representative, where I get to walk the client through the entire process from the meet and greet to the close. I have implemented and really applied the knowledge that I have gained. In so many other areas of education a lot of times the knowledge you gain you can’t really directly apply to what you are doing. With The College of Automotive Management training I was really utilizing what I had learned. Some say you can’t teach old dogs new tricks, in my case I became a new dog! I am so happy to say that with my education I have seen my income grow beyond what I thought was possible.”

Previous Occupation: Sales Consultant Current Occupation: Internet Manager
"The education I received from the College of Automotive Management has opened so many more doors for me. I have received a couple of offers to work in Finance but have chosen to remain with my previous employer opting to create an Internet Department for them. Both the GM and Finance Director have asked me about working Finance but I think I will try to get the internet off the ground first. I must say when I first started class I was questioning why I should take sales and Internet, but now I see why The College of Automotive Management covers these topics even with seasoned individuals. It has taught me to become better at my profession and will help me with my business plan for their internet department."
-Robert Internet Manager
Previous Occupation: Car Salesperson Current Occupation: Car Salesperson
"Before I attended the College of Automotive Management I had sold cars in Rhode Island. I was a good salesperson, usually in the top three at the dealership. When I moved out to California, I realized that there were some things that I needed to improve upon to compete successfully out here. I am working at Donavee Jeep, which is about 15 minutes from my home and I am enjoying my job very much. I sold 6 ½ cars my first 2 weeks and so far this month I have 8 cars out and it is only the 11th!! I am the sales leader at the store. The sales scripts, which I had to learn, are invaluable in helping to qualify the customer, gaining control of the sales process and overcoming objections. My skills are so good that even the “more experienced” sales people are turning their deals to me to close. I have shown one of the F&I managers how to work up a lease by hand and I also have helped the Internet Department with some of the issues they are facing. This knowledge that I am sharing I gained at The College of Automotive Management. Knowledge is the key to success."
