The College makes no claims regarding starting salaries, graduate incomes or job availabilities for any position. Many College graduates and employers have provided the College with their own statements about their experiences in the industries we represent after graduating from the College. Many of these positions were obtained with the help of our Career Development Department and employer contacts within the industries we represent. “This is not an implied or expressed claim of what all of our graduates earn. Individual results may vary and be higher or lower than these figures”. The terms "current occupation" and "current income" as used below apply to the date each testimonial was provided by the graduate to the College and may or may not be their current occupation or income level at this time. Also, the College assumes that in many cases the graduate is providing general figures or income levels rounded off for discussion purposes and the income levels reported, before or after College training, should not be interpreted as EXACT amounts earned monthly since many of the positions listed below, before or after CAM training, are commission based and total incomes could vary from month to month.
Sean Greene Previous Occupation: Waiter Previous Income: $2,000 per month Current Occupation: Finance Manager Current Income: $15,000 per month “How my life has changed in just the last two months. Two months ago I didn’t have a driver’s license, wasn’t making more than $2,000 a month as a waiter and was going nowhere fast. I saw an ad in the local paper about training people for management positions within the lending and automotive industries. I knew I had to make something of my life, so I decided to call. I will never forget what I told my career counselor, I said that I was tired of being a screw up! She knew I was serious about changing my life so I signed up for the program. The entire staff at The College of Automotive Management was great and behind me all the way. They knew I was serious about studying hard, changing my life, and making a career for myself, not just another job. Before I had even graduated I received job leads from the Career Development Department and had interviews set. Within a week, I landed an F&I Manager position for a Lincoln Mercury dealership where I am making $5,000 a month with just my base salary plus, I earn commissions and bonuses and this was just to start! This is more than twice the amount of money I had ever made. I love what I am doing and want to say that the College of Automotive Management and everyone there is great. I will always be grateful for the change this education has brought to my life." 2007: "I now work as a finance manager for a luxury dealership in Beverly Hills earning over $15,000 per month. I can't believe how much my life has changed in the last 2 years!” -Sean Finance Manager
Jamie Tenny Previous Occupation: Retail Manager Previous Income: $2,000 per month Current Occupation: Finance Manager Current Income: $10,000 per month “The College of Automotive Management opened more doors for me than I ever thought possible, and put me on a whole new track, both personally and professionally.” -Jamie Finance Manager Darius Tavoli Previous Occupation: Automobile Sales Consultant/Closer Previous Income: $3,000 per month Current Occupation: Finance Director Current Income: $12,000 per month
“I was a student from USC and I wanted to go into an industry that would best benefit and fulfill my needs. I felt that the automotive industry was the best fit as there seemed to be no cap on the amount of money you could be making. When I came to The College of Automotive Management I knew little of finance, after I left, I knew all the aspects of how the department worked and had the necessary tools that would help to make me a success. I was hired on as a Finance Manager for a small dealership in Orange County and now work as the Finance Director for a Dealership in Garden Grove”.

Milam Byers Previous Occupation: Musician Previous Income: $2,200 per month Current Occupation: Internet Consultant Current Income: $8,000 per month
"I am now in my second month as an Internet Salesperson. The first month I was here I trained for about 2 weeks before I was added to the lead pipeline full time. In those 2 weeks in February, traditionally a very slow month, I sold 7.5 cars. I thought that was a good start since I had never sold a car before that but I had no idea what was to come. I started March, my first full month of sales, and sold 2 in the first 2 days of the month. By March 10 I had 9 cars out, the highest in a store of approximately 40 salespeople (and the highest volume Toyota dealership in a region of 5 states) and I was the top guy at the first sales meeting of the month! I am so excited to see what is in store for the future. I never expected to see such a drastic increase this quickly. I am currently on track to make about $8,000 this month, that's 4 times the most I had ever made prior to this in my life! I see the value of The College of Automotive Management's education on a daily basis. I see salespeople all around me that have been in the business for years that don't tell the truth, don't serve their customers and don't care about every single person that walks through the door. Because I was trained at The College of Automotive Management I know what they are doing wrong, and they look at the "new guy" and wonder how in the world I have already sold more in the first 10 days of the month as they had all last month! Needless to say I am enjoying my job immensely and can't say enough about the preparation The College of Automotive Management provided for my success." -Milam Internet Consultant Nashville, TN

"With tears in my eyes and my heart filled with excitement and gratitude I tell you today that I am the very proud to be New Car Sales Manager at a Ford dealership in Texas. After I had finished the course I was filled with a newfound sense of confidence and accomplishment. I went on about 12 interviews and almost every single interview was so impressed with me, but unfortunately they did not have any openings at the time. But I never gave up. I took a job as a Sales Representative at a Toyota dealership to gain some more experience and to pay the bills. However, I took this as a great opportunity and continued to prospect dealers knowing with confidence that I could do the job better than anyone else, thanks to The College of Automotive Management. I told my wife and sons, “I will be a Manager, maybe not today or tomorrow but I will not give up.” And I didn’t. One day, I went to a Ford dealership and was almost turned down instantly because I had a somewhat troubled past. Not to go into too many details, I just want to state that I have experienced many hardships in my life and with the love and support of my family, I have turned myself around, I was tired of being a failure and gaining an education was the last step in my transformation. The GSM finally extended me an interview and was totally blown away with my drive to succeed and the confidence that I acquired from The College of Automotive Management. He made an appointment with me for the next day to meet with him, the dealership director, and the owner. I went prepared with my College of Automotive Management curriculum and I said to both of them I can do the job better than anyone and I can prove it. So just give me an opportunity to do so. The next day I received a call and now here I am sharing with you, that I am the New Car Sales Manager.
Wait there’s more. The GSM told me he likes my voice and would like me to participate in doing commercials for the dealership. How about that? Thanks to The College of Automotive Management, I am now going to be on TV. There is one more thing, I’m in charge and responsible for the hiring of any new employees so I am looking for salespeople, so keep your ears open for any graduates who are coming in from Texas, as we are going to definitely be asking for your guy’s help. Thank you all, I would have never had the confidence or the courage to pursue such endeavors but the knowledge that I have learned from The College of Automotive Management has given me this ability. God willing, someday I will be able to fly back to California and thank you all in person. I used to make $3,000 a month; now, I make over $9,000 a month. This year I will make over $72,000 more than the maximum I have ever earned in a year...”

"When I graduated from The College of Automotive Management, I got a job within one week of graduation as a Finance Manager for the Number 1 Motorhome Dealership in Northern California. What makes it especially nice is that for the first time in 15 years, I am actually working in the town I live. It's real nice having only a ten minute commute to work. I've been with the company for 10 months now and the income is what I expected. My first month I made $5,000 and I was very happy to at least make that. The next month, $7,500, the next $8,400...These last two months, I've made over $9,000 in each month. My best month so far was $11,500.What I took with me from The College of Automotive Management and still use every day is being legally compliant. With every contract signing (10 signatures) I still use the very same legal language I was taught. When the other Finance Managers have gotten themselves in some "hot water" over what was said, I am always confident that what I say in the Finance office is not only correct, but ethically and legally sound. For this reason, the GM of our dealership has expressed his gratitude that I am in his Finance office. He's told the owner and the sales managers that "with Peter in finance, I do not have to worry about anything. Deals are getting funded and there are never questions of him being legally compliant." The College of Automotive Management helped me prepare not only for the legalities of the job, but also the selling aspect of it. My income indicates I am doing well, and my averages are also increasing. My average last month was nearly $2,000 per unit with a warranty penetration of always greater than 70%. My best back end gross profit was on a $200,000 Motorhome and I brought in over $10,000 gross profit on ONE DEAL for a nice commission of over $1,300! To this day, our Finance Director says I hold the record in Finance!"

"I want to take this opportunity to say, "Thank You" for providing me with AWESOME education. The education you have provided me, was short in days, but seemed like it was a life sentence when dealing with "Stop the Shopper," or the mock interview!!!!!! Honestly, I acquired years of knowledge that I cannot even begin to put into words! For everyone that is thinking or skeptical about attending The College of Automotive Management, I also, was very skeptical. Especially when I was dealing with many personal issues, including being a single parent, taking care of my Mother and being homeless, just to name a few! Just trying to get enough money for gas to make it to and from school, was a major concern for me! Fortunately, here I am writing to say, "Thank You to The College of Automotive Management Staff" from the very beginning, when I received a phone call from Ron Metrakos, he scheduled my first face to face appointment with Choo, then I met Brie, and Sharon, began classes with my instructors, Roy and Adam, and was introduced to Dan, Carrie, and Chitvan. Now, I am the Internet Director at Hartzheim Dodge for both their Hayward and San Jose locations. I will be for the ones coming up in the future as well. My goal is to bring our dealership to the Top in the Industry, and I know we will do it, because I first have God and the support of The College of Automotive Management, what I have learned and all the support that they provide. Just keep an open mind, forget what you have done in the past, learn everything Roy and Adam are teaching, and you can join me in much success and prosperity!" -Joan Internet Director
Previous Occupation: Truck Driver Previous Income: $2,900 per month Current Occupation: Salesperson Current Income: $5,000 per month “Before coming to The College of Automotive Management, I was a Class A truck driver and a warehouse worker making about $35,000/year. I decided to go to College of Automotive Management because I wanted a better paying career. It took a couple of tries but I finally found the right dealership for me and I have been there for over a year selling cars. I now average $5,000/month and was Salesperson of the Month the last two months! I had no people skills before attending The College of Automotive Management and now I have a great career ahead of me.” -Javier Sales Representative

“Prior to coming to The College of Automotive Management I was working for UPS for over 12 years where room for advancement was null and void. I became injured and could no longer perform at my job. I had heard about the College and was initially attracted to the potential incomes that a Finance Manager could make. I knew I was good with dealing with people and that I was very knowledgeable about cars. After graduating I took 2 weeks off and as soon as I returned the Career Development Department provided me with all of the available openings they had in my area. I decided to take a sales position with a Nissan dealership and within 2 weeks, having no prior sales experience I had sold 6 cars! The dealership was so impressed that they asked me to be their closer and now I am the Internet/ Fleet Manager. What is so great is that everything that I learned from The College of Automotive Management I am now actually applying. With my previous job I was working 16 hour days that were very physical and labor intensive. What I am doing now, I am working less hours and my income has almost tripled.” -John Internet/Fleet Manager

“I had been in the car business selling cars for over 2 years when I was introduced to someone who was going to The College of Automotive Management. I became very interested in what he had to say and decided to go to the school. While I was in school I obtained a position working part-time on the weekends for a credit union, I was so excited I had a job and I had not even graduated yet. I was referred to a dealership for an F&I Manager position a week after I had graduated. I got the job and found out the position was more of a Finance Director position. I found that my income increased to three times what I was making before hand and am now making well over $100,000.”

"Before I came to The College of Automotive Management, I was working as a clothing store manager making about $35,000 a year. After I graduated and started in my new career, I felt ready. I knew I had an advantage over others starting at the dealership. The College helped to remove my fear and have greater confidence in what I was doing. I sold a car my first day. I know that if I didn't attend The College and just started in sales, I wouldn't have been as motivated or committed and I might not have made it. Because of the skills I learned at The College of Automotive Management it motivated me and gave me passion to make it a career instead of just a job. I made more money this last month than I ever have - $7500, and know that I will make 6 figures soon. I was promoted to closer after my 2nd month and I am now on a program to become a Sales Manager. The skills I learned at The College of Automotive Management definitely helped to fast track my career. It was the best decision for my career path and success." -Danny Assistant Manager

"I just wanted to drop you guys a quick letter to let you know what has happened to me. Also, I wanted to get something BIG up on the bulletin board in the lunch room. I remember being one of those students who asked, “Why do I have to learn all of these formulas? After all this is the 21st Century and computers do all the calculating for us”. You all kept saying. “There will come a time when you can shine and show everyone how to do a deal by hand.” Ok, you were right! I just didn’t know how right you could be!!!!" "I came to work here at Foothill Ranch Buick Pontiac GMC as a Finance Manager, the ONLY Finance Manager at this store!! My first day on the job there was a construction crew at our parent dealership in Irvine that cut the internet and ADP line. That’s right gang NO COMPUTERS for over a week!!! I had to do deals by hand! Our parent store ran the bureaus for us and I worked up the payments and yes, everyone was very impressed. I just wanted to say thank you for everything. These people here actually believe I can do the job and you made me believe it too! The College of Automotive Management rocks!!" -Lauri Finance Manager

“I have been in the Automotive Industry for over 20 years and found that as a woman in this business, women in general do very well. I had raised my family in this business because I knew that the potential for success was very high. I held a variety of positions for various dealerships and wanted to learn the banking/finance side of the dealership. I thought I knew everything, but The College of Automotive Management taught me things I didn’t even know I was doing wrong with the job I held. After graduating from the course I was hired as a Finance Manager at one of the largest Toyota dealerships in Orange County. This was in less than a week. I saw my income increase by more than $40,000 a year from where it was the year prior. I now work as a Sales Manager for a Nissan dealership and hire graduates of The College of Automotive Management frequently. I know that The College of Automotive Management graduates will be well trained and will know all the aspects of working in a major dealership as they are trained in the most important components of the industry and are kept up to date with the newest laws and regulations. I can’t speak highly enough about the benefits of an education from The College of Automotive Management.”

Lindsay Hershenson Previous Occupation: Sales Consultant Previous Income: $2,500 per month Current Occupation: Finance Manager Current Income: $5,000 per month “Before enrolling as a student with The College of Automotive Management, I was a struggling college student who sold cars while attending school. I had never really thought of the car business as a career, but more of an opportunity to work and make more than minimum wage while I was in school. After all, my goal was originally to go to Law School and I intended to get there. However, after building a close relationship with a finance manager, I was intrigued by the job and the monetary successes that the finance manger boasted of. After 6 months of selling cars without any formal training, and endless days of striving to make rent, I took a leap on faith and decided to go to finance school and consider the automotive business as a career for me. The College of Automotive Management was so helpful. I lived too far to commute so the college hooked me up with a great hotel where I could attend to my studies more and not worry about the long commute. Exactly one week after graduating I had an interview with the regional director of a nationwide automotive company which was provided by The College of Automotive Management. After a 2 hour interview, I was hired on the spot and started the following Monday. I was offered a $5000.00 base salary while I was in training floating from store to store throughout LA County. Later I decided the corporate world of automotive financing was not for me and I preferred to be at a dealership that was smaller and more flexible. My income has more than doubled since my training at The College of Automotive Management. After 8 months of working at my first finance job, I resigned and took a month off to enjoy my life. Soon enough I was back at work again, but this time with a smaller, family-owned company closer to my home. Now, I run a one-man (or woman) finance department, handling everything from selling back-end products to getting funding on every vehicle my dealership sells. More importantly, in about a year, after we get our new building and sell more cars, my title will turn into “Finance Director,” which was my goal from the very beginning! And I am only 20 years old! All that training paid off, deciding to go into finance changed my life and I wouldn’t be anywhere near to where I am without The College of Automotive Management.”

Aisha Ruiz Previous Occupation: Collections Agent Previous Income: $3,000 per month Current Occupation: Finance Manager Current Income: $6-$7,000 per month
“I was working for a collections company when they eliminated my position and I knew I had to make a career change. A friend informed me about The College of Automotive Management and I decided that this would be a great field to get into. After graduating I was presented with a lead for a tent sale and thought it would be good experience as I had never been in the car industry before. I was the only person in my class willing to accept the opportunity. The General Manager told me that he would never hire anyone into a Finance position without any experience. He was so impressed with my performance at the tent sale, that he informed me that he had a Finance Manager position open and would like me to take the position. This was after he told me that he would never hire anyone without any automotive experience. I had knocked his socks off as he would say to me. Within two months I had the highest gross profit average and shortly thereafter I doubled my per car average more than the department was doing before I had arrived."

Previous Occupation: Cake Decorator for Costco Previous Income: $2,000 per month Current Occupation: Fleet/Internet Manager Current Income: $5,700 per month
I am a Fleet/Internet Manager for Honda of Escondido, working for the same dealer group as another graduate, just at a different store. I am doing very well as I have already sold 6 cars this month! What a difference of work ethics!!! I love this company!!! I work from 10-7pm and sold 14 cars last month and made $4,000 and this month I have sold 19.5 cars and am making $7,800!!! I am leading numbers in the back end, which makes me feel great since I am new here. I have found that sales is my calling. I did have the opportunity to work Finance but I decided now is not the right time as I love selling and the hours are better for me in sales. Maybe in the future I will go into Finance but as for right now I am loving life. -Tania Internet / Fleet Manager
Ernesto Hermozillo Previous Occupation: Lowes Representative Previous Income: $1,700 per month Current Occupation: Sales Representative Current Income: $4,200 per month
"My name is Ernesto, I am 20 years old and I am a recent graduate from the College of Automotive Management. Within the first week after I had graduated, the placement department set me up with a lead to a dealership that they had built a strong relationship with. Being that I was so young, I thought I would have a very difficult time finding a position as I did not have a lot of work experience and had zero automotive experience. I called the dealerships and set up an interview two days after I had graduated. I interviewed for the position, was presented an offer and was hired all in one day! I couldn’t believe it! I thought I would have had to interview with 10 companies or more before I found a position. It’s been two months since I have been working at the Jaguar dealership and I am one car away from reaching my new car bonus for the month! I also have a meeting next week with our Finance Director, She was so impressed by my ability to “ink” a deal that she told me I am doing a good job and that she wanted to talk to me. She asked where I had learned my stuff and I told her I had attended the College of Automotive Management and this is where I learned how to do the contracts. I am looking forward to meeting with her and hopefully this will give me an opportunity to be their next Finance Manager." -Ernesto Sales Representative
David Kirkham Previous Occupation: Office Manager Previous Income: $3400 per month Current Occupation: Internet Department Manager Current Income: $5000 per month
“Before attending The College of Automotive Management, I was new to the Automotive industry but very eager to get started. I was hired the same week I graduated from The College of Automotive Management and started at a Nissan store, the following Monday. First day on the job, I sold my first car, making more than $700 on that deal. In only 6 days, I made $2,500! I'm able to get big profits because I believe in the art of "Selling Myself" before selling my products, just like I learned in The College of Automotive Management. I'm currently an Internet Manager. I expect to continue the Internet Manager position for a few more months, and then move into the Finance position I have my mind set on. I'm almost there.”
-David Internet Manager
Majdi Awad Previous Occupation: Convenience Store Clerk Previous Income: $3,500 per month Current Occupation: Finance Director Current Income: $12,000 + per month

Because of my training in special finance I was given all of the sales leads that had credit issues and within two months I was the top Sales Representative. Eight months later I was promoted to Special Finance Manager and six months after that my current dealership hired me as their Finance Director to oversee all of the regular and special finance departments. My family can’t believe it and they are all so proud of me."

“I can’t thank everyone enough for the training, support, and direction that The College of Automotive Management has given me. I’m so happy to say that I have found my niche. As an Englishman who has come to America, the years of work have been difficult. Going through the school has allowed me to work for such a great mortgage company. And I’m lovin’ it. I work with great people and I am making great money, I made more in one month than I made in last year. Life couldn’t be better. Once again, I have to thank The College of Automotive Management for steering me in this direction. I could not have done it without you.” -Calvin Loan Officer
Stephanie Clarke Previous Occupation: Account Manager Previous Income: $3,000 per month Current Occupation: Finance Manager Current Income: $9-$11,000 per month
“I was working in the sporting goods industry as an Account Manager when it came time for my cost of living raise. I was insulted at the amount and felt that this was no longer a sufficient means of income for me and my family. I happened to be building a fire in my fireplace when I looked down and saw a crumpled ad for The College of Automotive Management. I saw the ad and knew that this is what I wanted to do. I was pretty much already sold on the program before I called and was even more determined after I had spoken with my Career Counselor. I am proud to say that I now work as a Finance Manager and my life has changed tremendously. My income has more than tripled to over six figures a year and I was able to purchase a new car and a brand new house! I can relax now, knowing that I can supply for my daughters and I am able to afford to send them to the best schools so that they can receive a top notch education. Everything that I learned in the program I have applied. I know that I wouldn’t be where I am today without The College of Automotive Management. It was the best decision I have ever made in my life.”

Previous Occupation: Avionic Technician Previous Income: $5,000 per month Current Occupation: Used Car Director Current Income: $10-$12,000 per month
“I had sold cars very briefly before I chose to go into the Aerospace Industry. Quite a leap for me but nevertheless I was happy. Well, the Aerospace Industry took a nose dive and I was left out in the cold. I knew I had to decide what my new career would be, I just hadn’t decided what. I went through The College of Automotive Management and ended up on the express lane to management. I was recruited for a Sales Manager position for a dealership in the Inland Empire. After only two months they promoted me again to Finance Manager! I had heard horror stories of people waiting years to be promoted to these positions, with me it was a matter of weeks. I now work for a Used Car Dealership in Texas and am the Used Car Director. I have seen my income increase threefold and would not be where I am today if it wasn’t for The College of Automotive Management. I am hoping that The College of Automotive Management will expand enough to have a secondary level of training for Owners, I would be their first student.”

Previous Occupation: Advertising Manager Previous Income: $3,600 per month Current Occupation: Finance Manager Current Income: $6,200 per month
"I was an advertising manager prior to attending The College of Automotive Management. I thought I wanted to be in management and did not want to 'sell" cars until I graduated from The College of Automotive Management and learned what my opportunities really were. Now I handle the entire transaction myself including the sales, financing and DMV documents for all of my sales and I have complete control with my customer's buying experience. My income has almost doubled and I really love my new career."
-Jennifer Finance Manager Michael Davenport Previous Occupation: Sales Representative Previous Income: $5800 per month Current Occupation: Finance Manager Current Income: $15000 per month
"I saw how much money my finance manager was making when I was in car sales. He was averaging $15K - $17K per month and he was only a few years older than I was, and I figured if he could do it, so could I. I looked for information on F&I vocational schools on the web, The College of Automotive Management was the only college that appeared all over the web, they had the best testimonials, success rates, and the people I talked to made me feel very comfortable, especially coming in from another state to attend in California. The curriculum and instruction was nothing short of outstanding. They keep you very interactive in class, role-playing with the instructors and other students, it was very hands-on. The last week of training, the placement department started getting me ready for interviews. The day after graduation, a top Ford dealership hired me right on the spot as a Finance Manager! After 2 months, I was the top Finance Manager at my dealership; I even out-performed a 20 year veteran finance manager, in less than 60 days! My income tripled within 60 days out of The College of Automotive Management. I cannot believe that in 5 weeks of training that my income has risen as much as it has. If I went to college, even if I attended 8 years, I would never make as much as I am making now. The College of Automotive Management has completely changed my life forever!"

“I made $2,000 a month in my previous job. The College of Automotive Management's Placement Department found me a position. Now, after only two months, I am making more than $4,000 a month. I project the annual difference will be well over $35,000 a year from my previous job.”

“I love my new position as the Special Finance Manager. I am in charge of my own department. Everything I learned in class has played a huge part in my success; from desking deals, payment to income, debt to income, and analyzing credit reports. Everything we went over in class has come up in one way or another. I will say that the relationships that you build with your buyers are extremely important. It is amazing what your buyers will let you do if you just ask. I use Dealertrack to submit my applications and always submit the proper structure; it can make or break a deal! If I get an instant decline, I already know my guidelines well enough and pick up the phone and call my buyer to rehash. I stand strongly by the fact that if you believe in the products, you can sell them! I am extremely happy and couldn’t be more excited about what I am doing."

Cody Deniz Previous Occupation: Sales RepresentativePrevious Income: $2-3,000 per month Current Occupation: Special Finance Manager Current Income: $5-$6,000 per month
“I came to The College of Automotive Management because a friend of mine was making a killing in the RV industry after graduating from The College of Automotive Management a little less than a year ago. He is currently averaging $25K a month! I was doing well as a Sales Representative, but after talking with my friend as he shared his experiences at The College of Automotive Management and how much it had affected his life, I knew that if it had been so positive for him that maybe I would be able to experience some of the same successes that he had. I went back to selling RV’s after I graduated waiting until I could position myself for a Finance Manager opportunity. I have been in an unusual position for 2 months now. I am the sub-prime F&I Manager at a RV dealership in the Inland Empire. I am using all the skills I learned in school and I have to say that The College of Automotive Management has given me the ammunition I need to fight the war! I am prepared to handle anything, anyone and any credit situation and soon hope that I will be able to give another College of Automotive Management graduate, a certain friend of mine, a run for his money. Going to The College of Automotive Management is like being at home; everyone is on your team and will do everything humanly possible to help you in any way possible.”

Cody Deniz Current Occupation: F&I Manager Current Income: $12,000+ per month
Sometimes I just have to smile about where I am now. Not long ago I was working as a debt collector and manager of a Radio Shack. I entered the automotive business selling RVs and did that for a couple of years making about $70,000 a year. Not a bad income! I knew I was capable of more and saw how much the people working in F&I were making so I decided to go to the College of Automotive Management to get an education in finance. That was one of the best decisions I have ever made. After graduation I worked for the Henderson group as an F&I Manager. I left there after 1 year to re-enter the RV business which I had experience in before attending The College of Automotive Management. Now a year and one half later I am making over $150,000 a year as an F&I Manger for McMahan RV. Not bad for a 24 year old former hockey player!! -Cody F&I Manager

“First off, I must thank you for changing my life. Since I graduated from The College of Automotive Management everything has improved. I was given the job as Finance Manager at a Chevrolet store upon returning to Washington State and have been working here since. Since my start I have been the number one producing manager out of three, producing half of all F&I income in our dept. The College of Automotive Management really taught me the fundamental’s to succeed and through this my name has reached other dealerships that have offered wonderful opportunities. The College of Automotive Management was a blessing, allowing me to change my life for the best. Thank you and everyone at The College of Automotive Management.”

"My father has been in the automobile business for many years as F&I Manager and Director. So after 3 years at UCLA and working for several years in social services with handicapped people earning $35,000 to $40,000 a year I decided to explore that business. I sold cars for about 9 months and then was recommended to the College of Automotive Management. Talk about a life changing move! Shortly after graduation I was hired as an F&I Manager for a Chrysler Jeep Dealership in Riverside and haven’t regretted my choice one bit. It truly has been a one of the best decisions I have made in my life. I have made a comfortable 6 figure income for the last 6 years. I paid my tuition off in less than 3 months and have been ahead ever since. I would encourage anyone who wants to better their life to go to the College. Women do exceptionally well; we are seen as less threatening and win the customer’s confidence. By dealing honestly and straightforwardly there is no limit as to what we can earn. Over the years many of my co-workers have asked how I got my start and I have recommended The College of Automotive Management repeatedly. I figure that I have out-earned those who didn’t attend the College by about $500,000 over the last 6 years. It worked for me, why not for you?"

Susan Rocca Previous Occupation: Office Assistant Previous Income: $2,700 per month Current Occupation: Finance Manager Current Income: $11,000 per month
“I worked at an Automotive Business Office for 11 years, and while I enjoyed my work, I knew I was capable of handling greater responsibility. It was a tough decision to invest in my education, but one that I needed to do to improve my life and secure a better future for my family. I was earning $2,700 at my old job, and wanted to be able to provide a top-notch education for my children. I am doing that now. I was hired a couple of weeks after graduation by a Finance Director who was also a College of Automotive Management graduate. Today, as a Finance Manager at a Honda store, I am earning as much as $11,500 per month and do not have to rely on anyone to take care of my family. That’s a great feeling. And what’s just as important, I love what I do.”

Previous Occupation: Truck Driver Previous Income: $3,500 per month Current Occupation: Finance Manager Current Income: $10000 per month
"I had worked briefly as an automotive salesperson for about 2 months, but did very poorly because I didn't speak or understand English very well and I had no training or skills. So I worked as a Truck Driver to pay the bills. 3 years later, I found out about the College of Automotive Management and knew this was the answer. Because of my English skills, it was tough for me to understand the curriculum at first, but the instructors were great and put in extra time with me to help me understand. When I graduated, I felt very confident with my skills. I even felt confident enough to interview at luxury stores which is where I wanted to work but didn't feel I would qualify before I went to The College of Automotive Management. I was hired at South Bay Mercedes as a Salesperson. I became top salesperson my second month! I then went to Power Volvo and have been promoted to Finance Manager because of the skills I learned through The College. I cannot believe how much my income and my life have changed. Thank you College of Automotive Management!

“I was working as a Floor Manager for a Nissan dealership and I was surfing on the Internet in Pennsylvania when I came upon The College of Automotive Management’s website. When I read that they train for career opportunities in the automotive industry for managerial positions, they had me. I came to The College of Automotive Management and discovered a new world in the way of education. I have a Master’s Degree and I am sorry to say that it doesn’t even compare to what I received from The College of Automotive Management. Three months after I graduated, I returned to sales and a little after three months I was promoted to GSM! I even set up our dealership’s Special Finance Department! My income quadrupled overnight! I had to go a long way to receive this education, the other side of the United States, but it was well worth it!” -Luc General Sales Manager
Alee Rodriquez Previous Occupation: Receptionist Previous Income: $2,080 per month Current Occupation: Finance Manager Current Income: $9,000 per month
“My story is kind of a unique one. I actually became interested in the College because I was working as the receptionist for the school. I had just obtained my Bachelor’s degree from DeVry University and was entering into a very compacted job market. I worked for the College for a little less than a year before I decided to go through the program. I decided that I wanted to become a Finance Manager due to the success stories I was hearing and seeing from other graduates and that it seemed that everyone was getting higher paying jobs with less traditional education than me. After I graduated I worked very briefly as a Sales Representative before accepting a position as the Special Finance/Internet Manager at a Used Car Dealership, specializing in hi-line vehicles. I learned how to combine my special finance training and internet management training to where I am now making 9K a month! I am currently preparing to buy a house here in California and I am only 22.”

“When I was told about The College of Automotive Management, I couldn’t imagine what a school could teach me especially after 13 years of automotive experience. Within 2 days of class, I found that I didn’t know what I thought I knew. After graduation the school placed me in a dealership who allowed me to utilize my Special Finance skills and my earnings along with the amount of cars I sold per month tripled. I can only attribute it to the knowledge learned at The College of Automotive Management. The school changed my life.”

Previous Occupation: Computer Programmer Previous Income: $3,800 per month Current Occupation: Finance Manager Current Income: $18,000 per month
“I was a computer programmer for General Electric and was only making $45,000 per year. I started to see the difference more income made in my friend’s lives as they were driving nice cars and taking off to different locations for vacations and I was still where I was at, making the same amount of money that I had made the year prior and so forth. A friend of mine was working as a Finance Manager in the Automotive Industry making over $275,000 a year and I thought, if this guy is making that amount of money why can’t I? And that’s how it all started for me. I walked away from The College of Automotive Management and took a position as an F&I Manager on the day I graduated! The dealership hired me on the spot and now I am making an average of $18,000 a month! I now have only 18 months left to pay off my house. The changes that have happened in my life and career are unfathomable. I go to work and I am content with how my life has turned out.”

Frank Rodriguez Previous Occupation: Collections Agent Previous Income: $1,833 per month Current Occupation: Finance Manager Current Income: $8,500 per month
“Every time I share my story I can’t help but get a little choked up. To go from making less than $22,000 a year and having to move my family back home to live with my mother was how my life was before coming through The College of Automotive Management. I am now a Finance Manager and make over $100,000 per year and the idea of it all still astounds me. And to think I was so dead set against even coming here. A fishing trip with a couple of alumni from The College of Automotive Management ended up convincing me that it would be a great way for me to provide for my family. I am making more money than I expected to see in my lifetime and I never even had to sell a car. I am so happy that I can’t even express in words how much this has affected my life. I did something that made me so afraid, I jumped in with both feet and never looked back.”

"I had sold cars previously for 3-4 years making about $3 - 5K per month before coming to The College of Automotive Management. I heard about The College of Automotive Management through a friend and also research over the internet. I attended the program and it gave me a much better foundation than my previous experience. I found it was also beneficial in other areas outside my profession as well. After I graduated, I was hired as an F&I Manager for a dealership in Tustin, but due to the commute I worked for a local dealership with the goal of promoting to Finance. After a year, I was promoted to Finance and have doubled my income. I would recommend The College of Automotive Management; it provides a great foundation to be successful in the automotive industry."

"I was working as an Automotive Sales Representative in Georgia for about 2 years making about $6500 per month. I wanted a break into Finance Management and had researched schools that might help me get there. I learned that The College of Automotive Management was the only school that could give you all the skills necessary to become a Finance Manager and succeed in the position. I went through the program and got an F&I job at Irvine Mazda right after graduation! In my new position, I have increased my income by about $30,000 and have great job security because there is a large demand for skilled Finance Managers. I would recommend The College of Automotive Management for anyone wanting to succeed in the Automotive Industry." -Paul Finance Manager
Previous Occupation: Casting Recruiter Previous Income: $41,000 per year Current Occupation: F&I Manager Current Income: $11,000+ per month
“After graduating from The College of Automotive Management I was hired as a Special Finance Salesperson at Sunrise Ford in North Hollywood. I used the scripts I learned at the College especially the one that says “the more you put down the more you will save….” I was so successful using these techniques that within 6 months the boss let me start doing my own deals and within 4 months of that I was a manager and had 3 people working for me. I was making about $11,000 a month. 2 years later I was hired as a Sales Manager at Manhattan Beach Toyota. Talk about a change!! Now most of my customers had great credit and knew what they wanted. I just used the scripts and methods I learned at the College to continue my success. I left that position after about a year and a half to accept a job as an F&I Manager at Douglas Nissan. I enjoy the F&I business, you get to deal with so many different personalities and utilize all of your interpersonal skills to find out what the customer really wants and needs. You use different methods of overcoming objections depending upon the personality type of your customer. Having started out in sales gave me the experience dealing with people and discovering their needs. I was able to take this experience and apply it to my customers in F&I.. Before I came to the College of Automotive Management I was renting an apartment, driving a 1993 Pontiac Sunfire and making $41,000 a year after working in the movie industry for 8 years!! Now I own a $700,000 home, drive a 2003 Mercedes E500 and make well over $100,000 a year. What did I learn at the College? I learned the basics necessary to be successful, I learned that you have to treat people fairly and most of all I learned that you must be ethical and not lie to your customer. The skills I learned helped me to get started; I still had a lot to learn about dealing with people so I am glad that I sold cars for a while to get that experience.
Given the choice would I do it over again?? Without a doubt!”

Previous Occupation: Social Worker Previous Income: $3,500 per month Current Occupation: Fleet Manager Current Income: $6,000+ per month
“Before I attended The College of Automotive Management I was a Social Worker, The job was mentally rewarding but not economically rewarding. I used the communication skills I developed as a social worker and added the sales skills I learned at the College to become successful in the car business. I was hired within 2 weeks of graduation and have stayed at the same dealership for the last 2 years. My income has increased from $3,500 / month to over $6,000. I started in sales and now am a Fleet Manager. I get to sell and do the F&I as well for my deals. I actually have had opportunities to move to straight F&I a few times but enjoy what I am doing and have stayed in the Fleet Department, I am glad that I attended The College of Automotive Management and would recommend it to those considering getting into the Automobile industry.”

"I had been working as an automotive salesperson for my dealership for about 2 years, making a decent income (about $6000 - $7000 per month). I wanted to get into Finance Management and just couldn't seem to get a break. I learned about The College of Automotive Management and attended their Finance Management program. The program was incredible and the instructors were extremely knowledgeable in their field. I went back to the dealership where I was working and was given a Finance Assistant position, with plans to promote me into Finance Management as soon as I was ready. They couldn't believe the skills I learned at The College of Automotive Management and the promotion happened in less than a week to full-time F&I Manager. I immediately doubled my income! I have since been promoted to Sales Manager and Finance Director, and earn over $15,000 per month. I would strongly recommend The College of Automotive Management to anyone who is looking for a successful career in the automotive industry." -Karole Finance Director
Lorena Terry Previous Occupation: Salesperson Previous Income: $4,000 per month Current Occupation: Finance Director Current Income: $12,000-15,000 per month
"I was working as an automotive salesperson for about 3 years and was making an 'average' income of about $4,000 per month. I wanted more income and better opportunity and I learned about The College of Automotive Management from a friend I knew in the industry. I went through the program and was offered 3 Finance Management positions before I even graduated! I accepted the position at a major Ford dealership and made $6,000 - $7,000 in my first couple of months. Another dealership offered me a better opportunity in less than 3 months because of the skills I learned, and also because I am bilingual. I made $10,000 the first month I was there! Every month after that, I have made $12,000 - $15,000 as a Finance Manager, and have since been promoted to Finance Director. The College opened many doors for me and gave me the skills to succeed. Thank You College of Automotive Management!"

Henderson, NV Previous Occupation: Steel Factory Worker Previous Income: $2,500 per month Current Occupation: Sales Manager Current Income: $30,000 per month “Prior to attending The College of Automotive Management I worked as a Collector and the swing shift in a steel mill. After training with The College of Automotive Management I moved to Nevada to be closer to my wife’s family. I wanted to work in a successful store so I started in Sales at one of the largest Dodge dealerships in the state. I was not the top Sales Representative but I was consistent. I was making three times the amount of money than with my previous occupations. A little after six months I was promoted to Finance Manager where I was number one in my department, I attribute this to my education and training from The College of Automotive Management because of my ability to structure deals and understand each bank’s loan program. I was then promoted to Sales Manager where I train and oversee all of the Desk Managers at a store that sells over 700 units a month. My wife and I live in a $1,000,000 house and have a great life.”

Previous Occupation: Internet Manager Previous Income: $6,000 per month Current Occupation: Finance Director Current Income: $17,000 per month
"I was an Internet Manager at a used car dealership earning about $6,000 per month. I wanted to attend a comprehensive automotive management training program to enhance my skills and performance in my position and have better opportunity for advancement. I was familiar with The College of Automotive Management from other employees at our dealership. The program was extremely informative and to the point. They taught specifically to what is needed in the roles of internet and finance. I would recommend The College of Automotive Management to get the foundations for what you need to be successful and also get the hands on experience you need as well. With this training, you can be at the same level as other people with experience in the dealership. My income rose from $6,000 per month to $17,000 per month, and I was subsequently promoted to Finance Director. Now, when I need top quality candidates for my dealership, I call The College of Automotive Management."

Previous Occupation: Movie Theatre Operations Manager Previous Income: $2,600 per month Current Occupation: Finance Manager Current Occupation: $8,000 per month
"My dealership already gave me a 50% increase on my commission within just a month after being on the job! They started me at a good commission structure and said that after I proved myself in the position after 6 months or so, they would raise it to the next level. That happened in 1 month! The College of Automotive Management gave me a great overall foundation in Finance and the operations of the dealership. I am really prepared to handle Special Finance, which is a big help at my dealership because we do a lot of deals that involve people with special credit needs. This isn't something that is taught at most dealerships. For someone that does not have any experience in the industry, The College of Automotive Management is the only way. The instructors were great, Lex shared his personal stories which helped keep the classes fun, because the curriculum was very in depth. The placement department helped me tremendously and set up the interview where I was hired. I only had to go on one interview because I was able to demonstrate what I knew to get the position. They gave me forms and disclosures to execute during my interview, I aced it just like I did in class, and that's why I got the job. Now I'm making more than triple than what I was making before, and I'm only 25. Being bilingual was a definite plus. It gives you an edge in this industry. I wanted to thank everyone at The College of Automotive Management for their encouragement and support, it has changed my life. I even made a few friends that I keep in touch with."

I was in sales and marketing for 8 years before attending The College of Automotive Management. I have a Masters Degree and was earning over $80,000 a year. My wife and I wanted more income to help support our family and we decided that attending The College of Automotive Management would give me a head start in the lucrative automobile industry. I found out that it takes determination on my part and assistance from The College of Automotive Management placement staff to achieve that career goal. I now am a Finance Manger at Santa Monica BMW!I have a base salary and I also earn commission on products and services that I sell in F&I.I sold products in my first transaction and have kept going from there. I know how to deal with lease customers, who make up a large portion of highline customers, as well as finance and cash buyers. The owner of the store has been impressed with my performance so far and even made a point to compliment me on my ability to sell products. I will be forever grateful to The College of Automotive Management for the education and confidence that you gave me. Look for my card to be placed on the “Wall of Fame”. “I heard about The College of Automotive Management from a colleague in the business who attended and was promoted to Finance Management. I wanted to do the same thing, so I went to The College of Automotive Management to learn more. My friend went with me for support! Donna was incredible, she went over the program in detail and she said that I was incredibly responsible for being so young, she believed in me! I attended the program and went to work for the #1 Ford volume dealership in the world in the finance department. Today, I am a Finance Manager for a luxury dealership earning over 6 times what I was making before I attended The College of Automotive Management. I think going to the school has changed my career path forever and I definitely recommend The College of Automotive Management to anyone who wants a great career and income, and anyone who is interested in learning every aspect of the dealership, which I definitely did!”

Previous Occupation: Account Executive Previous Income: $3,000 per month Current Occupation: Sales Representative Current Income: $16,000 + per month
“After graduating from The College of Automotive Management in 1992, I immediately went to work as a Special Finance Manager and my income immediately increased to six figures per year. I was then promoted to Finance Director and then to Sales Manager where my responsibilities and income continued to increase. After seven years of management I realized the that being a Sales Representative had the best pay plan, the most control over my schedule and so I established my own Sales Department within a dealership which focused on helping people with credit issues, people who owed too much on their trade in, or people that the store couldn’t help through their traditional sales process. This is the highest paying position that I have held in the car business."

Chrystal Baird Previous Occupation: Granite Counter Sales representative Current Occupation: Sales Representative
"Before coming to the College I worked for an hourly wage selling Granite Kitchen Countertops, not making much money. I had never received any training in sales but I find selling cars a lot easier. This is because of the training I received at The College of Automotive Management where I learned to overcome customer objections. The Sales Script I learned was a "GOD SEND". One of the sales veterans of 11 years has even copied some of my responses because he sees how well they work!! This is a small dealership (80 cars a month) but I am already exceeding my income by more than $1,000.00 per month and I took time off last month to spend with my husband who is being redeployed. The College of Automotive Management gave me the knowledge and training to be successful and for that I am grateful."

“I had worked for a Uniform Rental Co. when I found myself on disability. A friend of mine used to own a dealership. I asked him if he had any suggestions. He said, "You've got to go into finance if you ever want to make big money." He told me that it would be hard, but after a bit of research, I found The College of Automotive Management. They were great. I sold cars for two weeks and went right into finance. It was the best decision that I have ever made.”
